A Happy Bottom Makes a Happy Baby! 👶

Did you know that 1 in 3 families struggle with diaper-need? Help us make a difference in our community by supporting families when they need it most—during the holidays and beyond.

We are hosting a Happy Bottoms Diaper Drive from now through January 30th, because diaper-need doesn’t end when the holidays do. Extending the drive allows us to continue supporting local families well into the new year.

✳️ What We Need:
Diapers (all sizes — unopened and opened packages welcome!)
Wipes
Diaper cream

✳️ The Goal:
All collected items will be distributed directly to families in our community through HappyBottoms, helping keep babies clean, dry, and healthy.

✳️ How to Donate:
Drop off donations in our office anytime during walk-in hours:
Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

These wonderful team members play a big role in creating the supportive, positive experience our families feel every day—whether it’s via the caring hands in the exam rooms with Nurse Sherry and Nurse Alison, or behind-the-scenes support with Jenifer making sure medical records are accurate, organized, and ready for every visit.

🦠 What’s Going Around Update
Across the nation and locally in KC, we are definitely starting to see flu and RSV activity increase, with RSV rising more quickly overall.

In our office last week, we actually saw several positive flu cases after having none recently, and unfortunately, we expect that trend to continue. However, good news, we did not see any RSV in our office testing.

Remember, flu often comes on suddenly, with high fever, headache, body aches, fatigue, and cough. If your child starts showing these symptoms, give us a call—antiviral medication works best when started within 48 hours of symptom onset.

We’ll continue to keep you updated as trends evolve and stay healthy in the meantime!

🎄Holiday Party 2025! 🎉
Last night we celebrated our amazing PCS team outside of the office, and it reminded us how fortunate we are to work alongside such dedicated and caring people. We enjoyed dinner, wonderful conversations, and our highly competitive (and hilarious) bingo games, complete with appearances by Bingo Bob and Jackpot Jason!

We were especially grateful to welcome back Dr. Grossman, Dr. Bray, and Dr. Davis—the physicians who built the foundation of our practice and will always inspire us. ❤️

We appreciate every member of this team and are thankful for another year of caring for children and families in our community. Here’s to a great 2026! 🎉

Pediatric Care Specialists continues to support vaccines as an important tool for keeping children safe and healthy. Whether you're breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, or exploring your options, you’re welcome here.

This is a calm, supportive space to share, learn, and connect with other parents. You can expect breastfeeding and latching assistance, formula feeding guidance and pumping help, weight checks, as well as introducing solids questions.
