Hello! I hope everyone is excited for a new school year. My deepest wish is that all children get to start and finish this school year with in person learning.

I still trying to hang on because we know COVID19 did not knock out head lice.

A couple of very important points to remember if you book online.

Masks ARE required! And you must wear your mask over your nose. So many of my families have children that are not able to be vaccinated. My goal is to keep them from getting ill and missing school.

This is not a political statement for me. It is simply me doing the very best I can to keep your family, and OUR community healthy. I am vaccinated but we now know there is a chance vaccinated people can get breakthrough cases, which can spread the virus to those around them. I personally avoid high risk situations, and wear a mask everywhere I go. I do that out of mindfulness for my potential customers. I want you all happy and healthy! I want our kids in school, and our small businesses to thrive, including mine.

I would also ask, if you have been into the shop, then find out later you test positive from community exposure to PLEASE let me know. I will obviously keep that information private but it will allow me to quarantine, and test, to ensure I don’t expose others.

When you book online I will need to speak to you prior to the appointment.

I have some COVID-19 screening questions I need to ask. I’ll be asking if you have any symptoms, if you’ve had any recent exposure, or if you or your child are excluded from school or work due to a suspected exposure. I’ll resume temperature screenings as well.

I try to limit the amount of people in my shop each day, for your protection and mine.

If you or your child have symptoms, or are in exclusion. I will work with you in some unique ways. We can get through this.

I have had some threats because I am requiring masks. I have also had non compliant families in the past 10 days. I know this is an emotional topic for many. Please remember I don’t have a political agenda. I want to do any small thing I can to keep our community healthy.

I am a very small business owner who is trying to do the best thing to keep everyone safe or at minimum mitigate the risk to you and yours.

So to recap, if you schedule online please remember I MUST speak with you prior to the appointment. If you’ve been exposed I will still work with you in whatever way I can to get you through this challenging time.

The phone is beginning to ring again as schools are trickling slowly back into session. Thank you all who have reached out to share how my approach to empowering you has made a difference in your life.

I am fighting to stay open to continue to serve you as things slowly return to normal.

In the meantime I have received my first vaccine. I encourage everyone to get yours as well. If you book an appointment please keep in mind that I have to limit the number of people in my shop, you must be symptom free, no contact with someone who has tested positive or you suspect as positive in the prior two weeks, no travel outside of the area in the prior two weeks. Please make sure that you wear an appropriate mask, and double mask per current guidelines.

If for some reason, those guidelines do not work for you in the moment, I am always here to help you through and find an alternative solution.

When you book an appointment you will see my personal cell phone number, I need to speak with you prior to the appointment.

I’m doing my part to keep all of us safe because your safety is my upmost concern.

I am open for business on a limited basis by appointment only. For your safety, my safety, and the safety of other customers please wear a mask, not a bandanna or scarf. There will be temperature screenings upon entrance. No walks will be allowed. You can still schedule online but you must speak with me on the phone prior to the appointment to go over the questions put out by KDHE as guidelines.

I will ask that you please be honest. I will do my own health checks daily to make sure that I am not exhibiting the following symptoms because I want to keep you safe.

I will only see one family a day to allow time to disinfect the shop, again for your safety.

As some of you are going back to school in person, we will see an increase in head lice, just like we do every year. I want to take care of everyone of you and I am still available by phone. If you are exhibiting any of these symptoms we can come up with an alternative way to treat with products that work either by FaceTime, phone, etc. I am not abandoning you. To all of my previous customers you still have access to me by cell phone if you have questions or concerns.

This would be a great time to stock up on your preventative, get a head check and let me refresh your memory on how to do it correctly. Make sure you wear your hair in a nice tight bun or braids, check weekly as a proactive measure. If you would like to pick up preventative products, please schedule online, choosing the drop down “Pick up Products”, noting what products you need. I will provide curbside pick up.


I am trying my best to hang in there through this terrible situation so that I can always be there to provide service when needed. Your cooperation will help ensure that a small business stays in business.

It is with great happiness that I can announce we are reopening!
It’s possible that I can open on Saturday but at the very latest Monday.

For your safety and mine I ask that if you’ve had any COVID19 symptoms in the last 14 days, or you’ve been exposed to someone with COVID19 please wait to schedule. I will stay in contact with you on the phone and walk you through any concerns you have during recovery or self isolation.

I will be operating by appointment only to limit the number of customers in my shop as well as allowing ample time for disinfecting in between customers.

I will be temperature screening and I ask that you wear a mask. I know this is a hard new normal for all of us but my goal is to keep everyone safe.

Please schedule online, you can reach out to me by phone if you have questions but if I don’t answer it’s because I’m with another customer.

As always I am available by phone in the evening for past customers and current customers. If you would like to pick up preventative product we can arrange curbside delivery as well. There’s a drop-down on the scheduling app for product pickup. Please specify in the notes what you need.

I will be so happy to see all of your faces and meet new customers. Don’t forget that as we return to camps, daycare, sports, etc to use your preventive, and check once a week with the comb to proactively prevent an active case of head lice. I’ve got plenty of inventory so stock up now!

Hello to my dear customer/friends!
First I want to say you are all in my thoughts and prayers. The frenchies and I miss you all so much. Not just because this business is my only source of income but also because we love all of you. We love educating you, remaining part of your lives through texts and questions. Please keep yourselves safe. Obviously maintaining social distance will greatly reduce your chance of getting COVID19 but also head lice. With school not in session, many daycares and preschools closed, and summer camps uncertain at this point, I don’t have a source of revenue.

BUT this is me and I am NOT giving up. I am applying for every program out there to keep the business afloat until things return to normal. I believe with every fiber of my being that they will. I have a very patient landlord at the shop who isn’t kicking me out, yet. I now have Sharice Davids, my congresswoman’s office intervening on my behalf to get through some of the red tape during these unprecedented times.

I want to reopen but I want to do it in a way that keeps all of you safe. I’ve gotten conflicting answers as to when and how I can open. But your safety is my upmost concern.

As I continue this long excruciating wait for info on the SBA EIDL loan, I will as always continue to answer your phone calls, texts, etc to provide support.

But I do need this to go through so that my landlord can be paid because they also have to pay a mortgage. Again, they’ve been very patient with me and continue to remain so.

I’m not done yet! I’m also not abandoning you. I am always available by phone.

It’s worth saying again that I miss seeing all of your faces. If you are not social distancing please keep your hair up, use your preventative, and use your comb to check weekly and be proactive. Head lice are persistent and COVID doesn’t slow them down.

I will keep fighting the good fight and assume that all will work out.

She’s hired!! I love when families come in proactively to learn how to PREVENT head lice. That’s exactly what this adorable girl and her mom did before she started preschool.

Schedule a head check to learn how to do it yourself weekly and stock up on preventative.

She might be in preschool but don’t think that’s the only place you’ll find it.

Check your middle and high school students diligently. Or send them in and I’ll show them how.

Tis the season..... of giving. And families are sharing head lice. Stop in for preventative, head checks, and education! Be prepared and proactive so you can relax and enjoy your holiday season.
