Strong operations depend on people who take the behind-the-scenes work seriously. Patient safety depends on it.

Kentrell supports the OR by making sure instruments are cleaned thoroughly, inspected carefully, and placed back into the correct sets with the right indicators before they’re wrapped and sent forward. “It's a lot to learn at first,” he says, “but as you continue to get familiar with the instruments and the procedures over time, it becomes second nature.”

During the nominating process, leaders and peers shared consistent feedback: Kentrell is quick to help, attentive to needs, and takes real pride in the quality he delivers. All of that is built on patience and repetition, whether he’s assembling trays in SPD or setting up towers in the OR.
