With Daylight Saving Time around the corner and allergy season starting up, your body may be feeling the shift before you even realize it.

Less sleep + more pollen = tension, fatigue, headaches, and sinus pressure for many people.

If you’re feeling “off” this time of year, your nervous system might just need a little extra support.
Let’s help your body adapt smoothly this season 🌿

Myth: “You should only go to a chiropractor if you’re in pain.” ❌

Fact: Pain is often the last symptom to appear and the first to disappear.*

By the time something hurts, dysfunction has usually been building for weeks, months, or even years. Poor posture, repetitive stress, old injuries, and daily tension can create imbalances long before you ever feel pain.

Pain is simply your body’s alarm system.
But dysfunction doesn’t always announce itself loudly.

🧠 Why This Matters

Your spine protects your nervous system — the system that controls movement, muscle tone, coordination, stress response, and more.

You don’t need to be in pain for your nervous system to be under stress.

People often continue care because they notice:
• Better mobility
• Improved posture
• Less tension and stiffness
• Better sleep
• Improved recovery from workouts
• Feeling more balanced and regulated

Not because they “have to”… but because they like how they function.

At Harlan Chiropractic, we care for families — not just backs.

Your spine protects your nervous system.
Your nervous system controls your whole body.

When we adjust the spine, we’re helping restore motion and improve communication between the brain and body.

That’s why patients tell us they’re:
✔ Sleeping better
✔ Feeling less stressed
✔ Having fewer headaches
✔ Healing faster
✔ Just feeling “more like themselves”

We’re not just here for when you’re hurting.
We’re here to help you function at your best. 💙

Is your car seat hurting your baby? 🚗👶

Car seats are designed for safety in the car,
but prolonged time in them outside the vehicle can
place unnecessary stress on your baby’s developing spine and neck.

At our office, we gently check for tension, alignment concerns, and movement restrictions
that may result from extended time in carriers and car seats.

A few simple adjustments to positioning and gentle chiropractic care can help support healthy growth and comfort.
If you’ve noticed:
• Head tilting to one side
• Flat spots forming
• Fussiness after car rides
• Difficulty turning the head

It might be time for a check.
Healthy spine. Happy baby. 💛

Myth: Chiropractors Aren’t Real Doctors. Fact: Chiropractors earn a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree after completing extensive doctoral-level education.

Before becoming licensed, chiropractors complete years of training in:
• Anatomy & physiology
• Neurology
• Radiology
• Biomechanics
• Diagnosis & clinical assessment
• Hands-on clinical internships

They must pass national board exams and meet state licensing requirements to practice.

Chiropractors are not medical doctors (M.D.s), but they are licensed physicians in the chiropractic profession, trained to diagnose conditions, take X-rays (where applicable), and determine appropriate care or referral when necessary.

Chiropractic care simply focuses on a different approach — supporting the spine and nervous system to improve function, rather than relying on medication or surgery as a first step.

Different training. Different tools. Same goal: helping people heal and function better. 💛
