GF is open by appointment and pre scheduled class time. GET’N FIT may not be like any other gym you’ve seen or experienced. That’s because we aren’t a gym at all. We are a fitness coaching and yoga studio where you will be part of our team, celebrated for your individuality and uniqueness. We are unique in that we have a dedicated Program Writing Department responsible for writing specific, individual programs for each member based on in-depth movement assessments and our comprehensive Strategy Session. Using functional methods to train the body so all muscle groups work together to develop spot on form and complete full body strength. Our workouts meet you where you are now so that you can get to where you want to be. We know that getting the body back to a place where it can train safely, often means working around chronic pain, or mobility issues. My name is Renee Rundall, I am sixty-eight, and I have lived in Ovid for forty nine years. I was diagnosed with fibromyaligia (a disease that affects the pain control center of the central nervous system, in the brain and spinal cord). I suffer constant pain ranging from mimicking heart attacks and kidney stones, to long lasting pain flares, and migraines, to name a few. I am allergic or reactive to all of the medications that doctors prescribe for this disease. The rheumatologist informed me that the only way I can lessen the pain is by diet, yoga, and exercise.
Richelle at GET'N FIT has taught me how to meditate and yoga breathing skills, these skills have helped me work through pain and reduce stress. She is very kind, encouraging, and does not allow me to give up. The knowledge Richelle possesses is impressive and she constantly strives to learn more to help the needs of her clients. Her ability to relieve painful areas of the body by use of restorative yoga, is amazing! I enrolled in an individualized exercise program a year and a half ago. The price of the membership is steep for my family, but we look at it as little money compared to the cost of a fibromyalgia prescription. Richelle's training program makes me strong, balanced, nimble, builds endurance, and most important of all, greatly decreases my pain. It gets me out of the house and I enjoy the social aspect of the membership, the other members are fun, interesting and I truly enjoy my contact with them.
In conclusion, I would encourage anyone who suffers pain, depression, despair, or lonliness to give Richelle's yoga and fitness coaching program a try. It has improved my life significantly and I now strive to have Winston Churchill's motto "Never Give Up"!

I've navigated both shoulder injury and hip replacement surgery while maintaining my GET'N FIT membership. GET'N FIT helped me prepare with fitness training beforehand and mental preparation—knowing I would have a program tailored just for me that would speed recovery. I had support for my mental health as well.

Every effort was made to ensure doctor's orders and PT treatment plans were included in my workout plan. Richelle created an individual plan that was flexible and changed as I made progress. My mental state was supported—she knew when to push me and when to give support. After my broken arm and shoulder injury, GET'N FIT planned workouts focusing on what I could do! After hip surgery, when I developed back issues, Richelle helped me manage the nerve problems, meshing PT expectations with my coordinated workout.

Before surgery, I was definitely concerned about mobility—but knowing the "workout journey" I'd had made it easier to accept the work needed. I felt supported at every turn. The importance of exercise has been drilled home! If I didn't have the core strength, healing would have taken longer. After being "laid up," I realized how quickly physical fitness changed. You realize your independence is directly tied to your fitness!

The support from my "workout crew" is awesome. They give reassurance and a willing ear. This team played an important part in keeping a positive attitude. I love the sense of family and belonging. My membership is worth the investment because of the individual plan for my needs and workouts designed to improve several areas, not just strength.

a confidence boost. Having a daily plan has enabled me
to continue working, travel, and experience activities like paddleboarding and bike trips. Without GET'N FIT's

Let's have an honest conversation, what is your real relationship with exercise?

We want to hear your truth:
- Do you feel intimidated by most fitness spaces?
- Have you tried and failed and tried again, and again, and again?
- Do you have health issues that complicate everything, and you think that disqualifies you from most fitness spaces?
- Do you feel like you don't look like you belong in a gym?

Every one of these feelings are valid and things that we commonly hear from new members all the time.

In yoga we learn that each person has their own struggles they are going through, and most are not visible. Kindness and believing that each person is doing the best they can in that moment in time can go a long way. We definitely try to embrace that belief every day in our studio.

"I've been with GET'N FIT for over 21 years. I continue my membership for many reasons. Most important is Richelle's knowledge and support. Having set times and days keeps me from saying "I'll do it tomorrow."

I started when I was around 54. Looking back, the transition from my 50s to 70s is obvious when looking in the mirror, but not that much of an issue in terms of my body. Richelle's personal training and yoga help me manage life changes.

Richelle has taught and is teaching me to use the correct body part in the correct way to workout and move in life. For example, using upper back muscles to help and mobility in feet and ankles is life changing.

My relationship with my body has changed from focusing on how I look to how I feel. It really doesn't matter how you look if you're not ok with how you feel. Personal training and yoga help mind, body, and soul. That's needed at every age. Empowerment is a benefit of the mind, body, and soul enriched by personal training and yoga.

During a typical day, I can get up and down from the floor, lift and carry things that I would probably ask for help with, my balance is dependable, and I have improved energy most days. I don't feel like I'm 75. To enjoy the peacefulness of life, mental, physical, and emotional health is a must.

Personal training and yoga keep me in the moment. I'm working on or towards a goal that I can control. I do realize the earlier
you start something, the sooner you will reach goals. I do
wish I had started a yoga practice much younger, life would
have been easier. I can't imagine what my life would be
like without the benefits from GET'N FIT. It's never too
late to begin. What you do to improve yourself is a gift
not only to yourself but also for those in your life.”

"I'm too stiff for yoga.
"I'd be the only one who doesn't know what they're doing."
"Yoga is for flexible people, not me."

Sound familiar? If you've ever talked yourself out of trying yoga because you felt too stiff, too out of shape, or too inexperienced, this episode is for you.

Here's what I want you to know: Stiffness isn't a barrier to yoga. It's one of the best reasons to start.

Think about what happens when stiffness goes unaddressed. You move less because it feels harder. Moving less creates more stiffness, and more stiffness leads to decreased mobility. It's a cycle of decline that can lead to losing your independence all together.

That progression doesn't have to be your story.

Real sustainable transformation doesn't come from dramatic 30-day challenges or extreme makeovers. It comes from falling in love with the fundamentals and doing them consistently.

The fundamentals of fitness, nutrition, and yoga tend to be the ones we need to do well and most often to make progress. They aren't the eye-catching things we see on social media, but they are the things that will help most people reach their goals.

Stop waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect body, or the perfect plan. Start with one small, sustainable action today. Then do it again tomorrow. That's how real transformation happens.

I decided to try yoga because I was having issues with hamstring tightness and cramping. I knew from my limited experience with the simple yoga taught to my PE students and athletes that yoga had positive benefits. Also, my wife Marcia was constantly sharing how much better yoga made her feel.

With age I've lost flexibility and experience various cramping episodes to multiple areas of my body, mostly during sleep hours. Since beginning yoga, Richelle has helped me focus attention to detail to improve my flexibility. I'm most concerned about losing flexibility in just about everything, but specifically my back, hamstrings, and core.

Both restorative and Move Better yoga sessions have provided relief while greatly improving flexibility and core strength. Being able to target different areas of my body that experience various levels of discomfort and pain on restorative days has been very satisfying. Move Better sessions have helped me concentrate on core strength and learn how our amazing bodies can heal or improve problems. Learning how to concentrate on breathing habits and techniques has also helped immensely. I leave every session feeling better than when I arrived.

One thing I love but didn't expect is learning how to "breathe"—it goes a long way to enhance results and progress! The variety of techniques goes way beyond inhale and exhale.

In general, I've felt better with less discomfort, allowing me to continue leading the active lifestyle I enjoy. Golf, general walking and extensive walking when traveling, being able to continue officiating football and basketball, pickleball, and snow skiing 3-4 times per season have all become easier and more comfortable.

As a retired PE teacher and sports coach, looking back, I
would have liked to incorporate more yoga principles for
PE and coaching athletes. The benefits would have made
a positive impact and better quality of life.

My goals for continuing yoga through my 70s and beyond
are to feel good while participating in the lifestyle
activities I enjoy for as long as possible. To other men my
age who might be hesitant I say give it a try and learn
how yoga can improve and prolong the quality of
movements, level of pain, and potentially lifespans."
