🎃👻 Did you know the first Halloween candy was... 👻🎃

Candy corn! 🍬

Invented in the 1880s by George Renninger of the Wunderle Candy Company, candy corn was originally called “Chicken Feed” and was marketed to farmers. Its tri-color design was inspired by the look of real corn kernels, making it a perfect fit for the harvest season. It wasn’t until the 1950s that candy corn became a Halloween staple, thanks to its sweet, buttercream-like flavor and festive appearance.
