Dear friends -
After 38 years of being "Dr. Brad", I have made the difficult decision to retire at the end of 2025. I want to thank all of my patients and their families who have borne with me these past few years as I have had to reschedule too many days in order to travel and see about my now 92-year-old mother in Berea . Her many falls and hospitalizations have been challenging and she is now requiring 24-hour care. It is her wish to stay in her home until the end and my brother and I are determined to do our best to honor her wishes, so I feel the need to be more available given the time left to us.
Dr. Justin Wedding and Dr. Sam Thompson have been angels on my shoulder as I have made this decision Justin and I first formed a friendship several years ago and Sam - like me - is the son of one of the finest dental professionals this community has ever known. They have agreed to assume the responsibility for my patients' care and I could not be prouder that the two of them are going to carry on my family's legacy that began over 60 years ago when my father first opened his orthodontic practice here in Owensboro. While I cannot even begin to express how thankful I am to Justin and Sam for their support for me personally, professionally they have given me the greatest gift possible: knowing for certain that I am leaving my patients in the best of hands with the kindest of colleagues. These are good men who have blessed me in many ways and I know my patients and their families will discover that on their own in a very short time.
Thank you to everyone who has entrusted my family with their orthodontic needs these past decades. I will always pray blessings on you and all those you love.
