We’re so proud to celebrate Beth, one of our Community and Home-Based Services (CLS) clients, for the tremendous growth she’s made over the past year.

Since the COVID pandemic, Beth had been receiving in-home supports and found community outings challenging. But thanks to her hard work — and the consistency and care from her support team, Cheyenne and Lauran — Beth is now getting out into the community weekly, tolerating crowds and new environments, and using full sentences to express her wants and needs.

All of this progress has come during a time of significant personal change and loss, making her accomplishments even more inspiring.

The photo of Beth and her team was taken at Boo Bingo last month, the perfect example of how she’s now confidently and joyfully engaging in her community.

Through dedication, patience, and encouragement, Beth continues to show what’s possible with the right support system. Her journey is a powerful reminder that progress looks different for everyone — and every step forward deserves to be celebrated.

At Puzzle Pieces, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and enriching experiences for our clients. Operating 25 classes per day across three different programs on our campus comes with a significant cost, averaging $1,200 per month. This investment ensures we can maintain the high-quality programs our clients rely on and enjoy.

Our friend Bobbie Jo saved up an incredible 15,000 Center Bucks over the past few months — and she finally cashed them in for a special coupon to take a friend and staff out to lunch at her favorite restaurant, Don Mario’s!

At Puzzle Pieces, we use our Center Bucks system to teach financial literacy, patience, goal-setting, and decision-making. Bobbie Jo’s hard work and determination are perfect examples of what it means to set a goal and see it through — all while celebrating success with friends.

Way to go, Bobbie Jo! 👏

Additionally, headphones can facilitate communication by reducing external distractions, allowing for clearer interactions with others.

By incorporating headphones into their daily lives, individuals with intellectual disabilities can enhance their ability to participate in various activities and navigate the world with greater ease and confidence.

🎃 Trick-or-Treat, Puzzle Pieces Style! 🍬

Our Adult Vocational Program (AVP) clients took the lead this Halloween by hosting their very own trick-or-treating event in our campus theater! They went all out — decorating booths, handing out candy, and creating a festive experience for all of our clients to enjoy.

Events like this are more than just fun — they help build leadership, creativity, and community engagement while giving our clients the chance to take ownership of something special. And they absolutely nailed it!

Our friends had an incredible time at Boo Bingo earlier this week, hosted by our partners at The Opportunity Center of Owensboro! The event brought together sister agencies from across the community for an afternoon full of dancing, Bingo, prizes, and so much fun.

Events like this are what inclusion is all about — creating opportunities for connection, joy, and celebration for the individuals we serve.

A big thank-you to The Opportunity Center for hosting such a wonderful event and for continuing to make our community a more inclusive place for everyone!

Our youngest friends kept the fall break adventures going last week with a trip to Reid's Orchard, where they enjoyed the fresh air and explored everything the farm has to offer. Days like this are filled with laughter, friendship, and learning — helping our clients build confidence and real-world skills while making memories together.
