Dr. Kay Corpus’ approach to medicine involves uncovering the root cause of illness and disease, which, she believes, is essential to living well and in full vitality. In her clinical practice, she and her patients work together to illuminate how pathology occurs as a result of emotional, psychological, and spiritual imbalances. She elicits the act of personal story-telling from her patients through deep self-inquiry in order to help identify stuck emotion and energy beneath the symptoms and illness. Consequently, this clarifies their truth then liberates the soul. It is this essential process which cultivates and enhances the healing process. She believes that our biology is truly a result of our biography. Dr. Corpus combines the best of all worlds of healing-yoga, meditation, supplements, whole foods nutrition, homeopathy, Ayurveda, psychotherapy, energy medicine, bodywork, and conventional medicine, when appropriate-to arrive at an individual, comprehensive, and holistic treatment plan for her patients. Dr. Corpus is a board-certified Family Physician specializing in Integrative and Functional Medicine. She is also a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. Dr. Corpus completed her family medicine residency at Penn State Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA, a two-year Integrative Medicine fellowship with Andrew Weil, MD through the University of Arizona and training with Mark Hyman, MD with the Institute of Functional Medicine. She lives in Owensboro, KY with her beautiful family. Dr. Corpus is now a certified practitioner with the Whole Health Medicine Institute with Lissa Rankin, MD whereby she joins the new generation of visionary physicians in healing patients, communities, health care and humanity one person at a time.

Before the year slips away, pause and honor all that you made it through.
The quiet resilience.
The tiny acts of courage.
The softness you offered yourself and others.

You showed up, even when it was hard.
That matters more than you know.

Thank you for letting me be part of your world this year.
Holding you with gratitude and gentle hope for what’s next. 🤍

As this year comes to a close, take a moment to notice how much you’ve grown.
Not just in the obvious ways, but in the quiet ones too.

The boundaries you learned to set.
The truths you finally listened to.
The resilience that showed up when you didn’t think you had it.

Growth doesn’t always announce itself.
Sometimes it whispers.

I hope you can pause today and honor the woman you’ve become. 🤎

💬 What’s one quiet way you’ve grown this year?

12/26/2025

Let me say this clearly.
You’re not broken.
You’re not dying.
And nothing is “crazy wrong” with you.

Menopause is inevitable.
So instead of whispering about it…
let’s talk about it.

Yes, there are ways to ease the symptoms.
Yes, functional and integrative medicine can help you sleep, think, and feel better.

But here’s the part no one prepared you for 👇
This is still a passage.

One that asks you to slow down.
One that strips away the noise.
One that invites you back to your truth.

You’ve survived hell and back already.
This isn’t the end of you.
It’s another becoming.

🎙️ In this episode, I speak to the women who just need to hear:
“You’re okay. And you don’t have to go through this alone.”

As the year gently comes to a close, we want to pause and simply say thank you.

Thank you for being part of this community and for trusting us with your care. It’s an honor to walk alongside you.

May this season bring moments of rest, nourishment, and quiet connection, in whatever way feels right for you.

And as the new year approaches, may it bring clarity, steadiness, and renewed trust in your body and yourself.

Wishing you a peaceful Christmas and a healthy, hopeful start to the new year.

With gratitude,
Kay & Rob 🎄

Everyone is talking about menopause.
Hormones. Labs. Diets. Protocols.

But here’s what no one wants to say 👇

You’re not getting through this unchanged.
And that’s not a failure.
That’s the point.

🎙️ In this episode, we name the truth:
Menopause isn’t just something to manage.
It’s something to listen to.

If you’re tired of chasing fixes
and wondering why this feels so disruptive…

This conversation is for you.

STOP SCROLLING.
If you’re trying to “fix” menopause… this episode is for you.

Menopause strips away what no longer fits.
It removes the adrenaline.
The people-pleasing.
The life you built to survive so you can finally live in truth.

If you feel:
• more tired
• less tolerant
• less interested in what used to excite you
• unsure who you’re becoming

Nothing is wrong with you.

🎧 This episode explains why and what your body is actually asking for.

You might not be calm.
You might be frozen.

During perimenopause and menopause, many women slip into a quiet shutdown.

Numb. Flat. Unbothered.
Not because everything’s fine, but because the nervous system is overwhelmed.

This freeze response can feel like low mood, exhaustion, or just not caring anymore.
It’s not failure. It’s information.

Menopause brings everything forward at once.
Your hormones. Your stress. Your life.
And it asks you to slow down, set boundaries, and choose yourself.

This is natural. It’s also a powerful turning point.

“You will not go through menopause unchanged.”

And that’s not a warning.
It’s an invitation.

In this powerful conversation, Rob Kress and I explore why menopause is not just a hormonal shift, but a threshold one that asks you to shed what no longer fits and step into a deeper, truer version of yourself.

Menopause changes how you feel in your body.
How you relate to others.
How you see yourself.

And when we stop resisting that change, it becomes medicine.

Ever catch yourself thinking,
“Why can’t I keep up like I used to?”

It’s not that something is wrong with you.
It’s that your hormones, adrenals, and nervous system are no longer propping up a lifestyle built on adrenaline, obligation, and people-pleasing.

Midlife isn’t a breakdown.
It’s a truth serum.

In this episode, we explore how menopause strips away the “fuel” that kept us pushing and invites us to ask the real question: Who am I without the hustle?

✨ New Episode Dropping This Friday ✨

What if menopause isn’t something to “get through”…
but a sacred invitation into deeper wisdom, embodiment, and becoming?

In this episode of Soul of Menopause, Rob Kress, Pharmacist and Mentor, and I, explore the deeper story behind my newest book, A Spiritual Medicine Guide to a Woman’s Sacred Becoming.

We talk about:
• Menopause as initiation, not decline
• The intersection of medicine, spirituality, and lived experience
• Why this season asks us to listen more deeply to ourselves

If you’re feeling the pull toward something more meaningful in midlife, this conversation is for you.

That menopause belly didn’t come out of nowhere.
And it’s not always fat.

During menopause, changes in hormones, cortisol, gut health, and even your lymphatic system can all play a role. When collagen declines, lymph flow can slow. That means fluid and toxins can stagnate, leading to inflammation and swelling, especially around the belly.

Many women are surprised to learn it’s often fluid retention, not weight gain alone.

This is why supporting lymph movement, reducing inflammation, balancing hormones, and paying attention to diet all matter. One-size-fits-all fixes rarely work here.

If you’re noticing changes in your body and want to understand what’s actually driving them, there’s a path forward.
