We’re thrilled to partner with the Skyland Fire Department to bring BINGOcize to our residents — and it’s been a hit!
BINGOcize is more than just a game — it’s an evidence-based program that combines the fun of bingo with gentle exercises designed to improve balance, strength, and mobility. These classes are not only enjoyable but also incredibly beneficial in helping our residents reduce their risk of falls.
One of our residents recently shared a heartwarming story:
“[While visiting a restaurant] I sat in a chair I knew was too low as soon as I sat down. When it was time to leave, I had a hard time getting back up and began to panic as staff attempted to help me. After a few tries, I remembered a technique I learned in BINGOcize. I used the exercise we practiced to help me get up from the chair. Without that tip, I might still be sitting there”
