From Heroin To Hero

From Heroin To Hero Still recovering addict. Studying Peer Support Specialist. SD: 10/28/21 I am a 29-year-old still recovering he**in addict. My sobriety date is October 28, 2021.

I have 2 children, one of which will be welcomed into the world February 28th, 2023 (assuming she comes on her expected due date, that is). My son, who is 7 years old, was adopted by a very loving family who has graciously opened their hearts and their home to him from day one. I am currently engaged to a man who is also in recovery after struggling with addictions of his own. I am beyond proud of his progress. We live in a small apartment in a (mostly) quiet small southern town with two kittens we never dreamed of ending up with. We love them more than we ever thought possible. I hope to reach others with the same struggles and offer at least some form of comfort to those who feel they will never find the light at the end of the tunnel.
