The Community Relations Team hosted a food drive in December and donated over 290lbs of food to two food banks in Shiawassee County. CRT also hosted a Christmas dinner for all staff, which included turkey, ham, green bean casserole, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pie!

Today, the Nurse Management Team hosted a Christmas event for our staff. They baked cookies and hosted a free raffle with prizes, where staff had to write on their Christmas ornaments what they love about working at PV and something they are looking forward to in 2026. Residents drew the winners. It was a fun day!

Please join us in congratulating Julie Munsell on her recent promotion to Nurse Manager!

Congratulations are in order for Julie Munsell RN, BSN, VWCN on her recent promotion to Nurse Manager! She will be our Quality and Clinical Compliance & Improvement Manager and will take the lead on clinical quality assurance reviews and facility reported incidents. Julie has a proven track record of success in these areas and will also continue as our certified wound nurse. She will work closely with me on Quality / Compliance initiatives as we position Pleasant View for the future.

Julie is a prime example of a person with grit and tenacity. When she was hired in 2018, she was an eager LPN picking up shifts, helping out in any way she could. Later she was promoted to Nurse Supervisor with a specialty focus on wound care. Since 2018, she pursued her RN and BSN, then became wound care certified! She has accomplished many professional goals in her time at Pleasant View, all while raising a family!

Julie is an excellent example of what commitment and consistent growth can produce in a professional. We are very proud of her success in these areas and are very excited for the strategic changes we are making to position PV for the future!

Our giving tree still has many tags waiting to be picked! Each gift goes directly to our residents, ensuring they have a very Merry Christmas.

With construction officially underway on Pleasant View’s expansion, we planted a ceremonial tree to commemorate the occasion. Once the expansion is completed, we will add this tree to the grounds, where we’ll be able to watch it grow alongside us.
