After Tina’s diagnosis, she talked to me many times about how she wanted to live, but had completely given it over to God. That while she didn’t understand, she trusted Him and had complete peace.

Matthew 6:27: Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

While this normally refers to height, here it likely references the length of our life. Jesus is telling us here that we cannot add one minute to our life by worrying. This state of anxiety is related to having little faith.

Today - make the same choice Tina made. Choose peace by trusting the Lord’s plan for your life - whatever that may be. HE IS IN CONTROL. 💜

Visitation from 4-6p, Service at 6pm
Brookside Baptist Church
405 Kirby Road
Oxford, AL 36203

The church is providing a meal for the family following the service.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our sweet Tina. While we mourn this incredible loss, we find comfort knowing that she is no longer suffering and is now in the loving embrace of our Lord. We will update you with the funeral arrangements as soon as they are made. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Tina is staying true to her fighting spirit and remains here with us. She is comfortable and very well cared for - and for that we are grateful. Please continue to pray for a peaceful and comfortable transition for Tina as well as strength and comfort for her family and friends. 💜

Tina transitioned to hospice yesterday. She is being kept comfortable and is sleeping more often than not at this point, but wakens at intervals. She is so loved. 💜

Tina’s condition has worsened significantly over the past few days. Today, we are grateful that her pain has been well controlled. Please continue to pray for her as well as her family who is caring for her around the clock.

Tina remains at home and continues to have significant pain and swelling. She is sleeping a lot, but is spending as much time as possible with her family and children.

So many of you have reached out and asked how you can help Tina or the family - there are people lined up bringing meals, but there are times when Tina may have family come by to sit with her and an extra meal may be needed - in these cases, gift cards for door dash or local restaurants would be helpful - and as always, we covet your prayers. 💜

Update 1/11/24: Tina was finally discharged from the hospital last night. She is very weak, but rested well throughout the night. Please continue prayers for effective pain control and strength.
