We are so excited to continue growing our Academic Coaching program at TEAM For KIDS!

We currently have limited afternoon openings for individualized academic coaching sessions in reading, math, and foundational learning skills. Our approach is play-based, whole-child, relationship-driven, and tailored to meet each child exactly where they are.

What looks like “just playing” is actually:

✔️ Counting on
✔️ Crossing midline
✔️ Fine motor strength (tweezer work!)
✔️ Color coordination
✔️ Bilateral brain integration

All embedded in play.

And that pink jacket she loves to wear?
We practice autonomy there too.

Instead of “Take it off,” I offer structured choices:

“Would you like help taking it off or do it yourself?”
“Would you like to put it on the chair or on the ground?”

No option to keep it on, but full control within the boundary.

Structure + choice = confidence.
Play-based. Child-led. Purposeful.

Calming cuts is BACK!!
So so excited to finally be able to open my books back up for this service! Starting in March, my books will be open for new clients and I’m so excited to meet them! Message me with any questions or concerns you may have!

🌈What is “Calming Cuts”?
It’s a service I started back in October of 2022 that’s specifically caters to kids that have a hard time in a typical salon setting. This includes SO many circumstances, whether it be toddlers, children on the spectrum, sensory seeking or avoidant, or hearing and vision impaired- I’ve worked with it all.

🌈What makes the experience different?
-Two hour, private time slots. It’s just me, you, and your baby!

-Sensory toys and activities (brand new stuff on the way)!

-Wheelchair and wagon accessible!

-Freedom of movement and alternative draping options! I am super laid back and go-with-the-flow. I will always encourage them to drape and sit if possible- but I will also let your child move around the salon if that’s what they need to be more comfortable. I suggest bringing a change of clothes in case draping is too much for them!

-A patient and kind approach. I do not rush these haircuts- and I try my best to get to know your child and what works best for them. I have always been super passionate about this service and my favorite part is getting to be a part of your child’s team! 🌈
