Non-medical in-home care is sometimes confused with home health care. While the two services can work hand-in-hand, their goals and outcomes are different.

Home health care typically addresses skilled medical needs, such as wound care, IV medication administration, and physical or occupational therapy. Non-medical in-home care, on the other hand, focuses on support with daily activities like bathing and dressing, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.

At Safe and Sound Home Care, we can help you determine which type of care is most appropriate for your current needs. Call our office today at 662-234-1221 to speak with a member of our team.

The holiday season, while often filled with generosity and goodwill, can also create opportunities for fraud and financial abuse, especially for vulnerable adults and seniors.

You may need to take a closer look if you notice that your loved one:
• No longer has basic necessities or comforts they once could easily afford
• Gives unusually large payments, “tips,” or gifts in exchange for care or companionship
• Has a caregiver who manages their money but does not adequately meet their needs
• Has experienced sudden, unexplained changes to important documents, such as a power of attorney, property titles, or a will

If any of these warning signs are present, it may be time to ask questions, seek professional guidance, and ensure your loved one’s financial safety.
