The Grinch is here to help us remind everyone that January 1st, your insurance deductibles reset. For many insurance plans, mental health benefits are subject to deductible (meaning that insurance won’t pay benefits until the deductible is met. Make sure you check with your insurance so there are no surprises!

If you are a mental health provider, graduate student in the field, or an allied professional in the LOU community, please join the Lafayette-Oxford-University Mental Health Alliance (LOU-MHA) for the October Networking event this Friday, October 31st from 8:30-10:00. We meet at the Oxford Treatment Center (HWY 7 south) and this month Delta Autumn Consulting is the sponsor of the event. This is a time to network, discuss all things mental health, and have some treats!

This Saturday (October 25th), NAMI of Oxford is hosting a Fall Family and Wellness Festival at the Old Armory Pavillion from 9am-11am! The NAMIwalks Oxford will take place at 10:00am supporting mental health! There will be games, food, prizes, mounted patrol and many groups supporting mental health initiatives in Oxford! will be there and we hope to see you there as well!

Also, next Friday, October 31st is the next LOU-MHA networking breakfast (8:30-10:00am). We invite any area mental health provider, graduate student, and professionals intersecting with the mental health community to join us for more conversations about mental health resources, initiatives, and community needs!
