✨ What a Night! ✨
The Empty Stocking Gala was truly one to remember! It was an evening filled with purpose, laughter, and love, surrounded by my husband, mom, family, staff, and community. I may not have taken as many photos this year, but the best memories are often the ones you simply live in the moment to enjoy.

Grateful to stand alongside a few of our finest counselors for such a wonderful cause! 💙

As a proud board member, it’s an honor to serve with others who share the same passion for giving back. The impact we’re able to make together, bringing joy to hundreds of children across Calhoun and Cleburne County, is the kind of work that reminds us why we do what we do.

We’re excited to share that Stepping Stones to Success Counseling & Consulting has officially expanded into Carrollton, Georgia.

This new location has been months in the making and represents faith, focus, and steady steps forward.

For our owner and Clinical Director, Keyanna Peters, LPC-S, this moment is personal. Georgia is home, it is where her story began, and returning as a therapist, supervisor, and CEO is truly a full circle blessing.

From Anniston to Oxford and now Carrollton, every office has been built with intention and heart. Each one is a reminder that healing happens in community and growth happens when faith leads the way.

Our mission remains simple: to provide compassionate, responsive, and family-centered care that helps individuals and families grow stronger together.

💙🌱Clinicians, Your Mental Health Matters Too 💙🌱

In this field, we show up every day for others, holding space for their pain, celebrating their wins, and guiding them through life’s toughest seasons. But often, in the rush to care for everyone else, we forget one simple truth: clinicians are human too.

Our mental health is not separate from the work we do. It is the foundation that allows us to practice with clarity, compassion, and resilience. When we neglect our own care, burnout, compassion fatigue, and even crisis can follow. When we invest in our own well-being, our clients benefit as much as we do.

What taking care of your mental health can look like:

Seeking your own therapy or supervision support

Taking mental health days without guilt

Practicing boundaries around work hours

Saying “no” when your capacity is reached

Engaging in activities that restore joy and peace

Today my little crew came with me to the Oxford office. Snacks, noise, questions, and all. This is real life as a mom, therapist, and business owner. It’s not always quiet or polished but it’s full of purpose. I built this space so I could serve others and still show up for my own. To every working mama trying to build something while raising someone, you are seen. Keep going. You’re doing better than you think. Every moment, every decision, every sacrifice is a stepping stone toward the life you’re building.
