πŸ’› October is ADHD Awareness Month!

ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental conditions, but it’s often missed in girls and women because their symptoms may be less visible. Many girls internalize their struggles, appearing quiet, anxious, or β€œdaydreamy” instead of hyperactive.

Awareness matters. Early recognition and support can make all the difference. Let’s break the stigma and celebrate the strengths, creativity, and resilience of those with ADHD. 🌟

"I’m Kristy Peters, a licensed master social worker dedicated to supporting individuals ages 12 and up through life’s challenges. I work with clients facing addiction, anxiety, depression, anger, and postpartum concerns, using a client-centered approach to help you meet your goals in a way that fits your unique needs.

My practice is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I aim to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where meaningful change can happen.

I also accept DHS referrals and see court-mandated clients, offering a supportive and structured environment for those navigating legal or child welfare systems.

Wherever you are in your journey, I’m here to walk alongside you!"

Ascent Therapy Ozark is now offering Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP)β€”a trauma-informed, evidence-based model designed for children ages 0 to 5 and their caregivers.

What is CPP?
CPP focuses on strengthening the relationship between a young child and their caregiver following trauma, separation, or major life stress. Sessions involve both the child and caregiver, fostering emotional connection, healing, and healthy development.

How CPP Helps:

Supports reunification with biological parents

Strengthens trust and attachment in foster and kinship care

Enhances emotional responsiveness and parenting skills

Reduces emotional and behavioral challenges in children

We are committed to accessible care:
βœ… Accepting Medicaid
βœ… Sliding scale options available
βœ… Pro bono services offered when needed
