Employee Spotlight : Vinson Johnson CRNP
Get to know our dedicated Hospice Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Vinson Johnson. With a strong passion for compassionate, patient-centered care, he plays a vital role in supporting patients and families during some of life’s most meaningful moments.
His nursing journey began with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Wallace Community College in 2019, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Alabama in 2022. He continued his advanced education by earning a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Family Practice from the University of South Alabama in 2024.
Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, he gained valuable hands-on experience working five years as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at Dale Medical Center. This background helped build a strong clinical foundation and the ability to provide calm, skilled care during critical moments.
Today, as a Hospice CRNP, he works closely with the interdisciplinary hospice team to provide advanced medical care, symptom management, and compassionate support to patients facing serious illness. His dedication to comfort-focused care helps ensure every patient receives dignity, respect, and personalized attention.
We are grateful for his commitment, professionalism, and the comfort he brings to the patients and families we serve each day.

Our annual Memorial Service was a meaningful and gentle time of remembrance for our Community Hospice families and staff. We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended and helped create a space filled with compassion, reflection, and honor for those we hold dear.

To those who were unable to be with us in person, please know you were very much in our hearts. Your loved ones were remembered with care, and their lives continue to matter to us. Thank you for allowing Community Hospice to walk alongside you then, now, and always.
