✨ Back to Routine After the New Year? You’re Not Alone! ✨

The holidays can disrupt sleep, schedules, and daily habits—so easing back into your routine takes time. Start small: set consistent wake-up times, plan healthy meals, and give yourself grace as you readjust.

🧠 Fun Fact: Your brain actually thrives on routine! Consistent schedules help reduce stress, improve focus, and boost overall mood.

Need support getting back on track? Therapy can help you build healthy routines and coping skills that stick!

✨ Healing Beyond Words: How EMDR Can Help You Overcome Trauma ✨

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful therapy approach that helps individuals heal from traumatic experiences — not just by talking about them, but by helping the brain reprocess painful memories so they no longer feel as overwhelming.

Through guided eye movements or bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps the brain file away trauma in a healthier way, allowing space for calm, clarity, and growth. 🌿

Many people notice relief from anxiety, panic, or triggers that once felt impossible to manage — and often find a renewed sense of peace and empowerment in their everyday life. 💛

I’m currently welcoming new clients to begin EMDR sessions as I continue my consultation hours toward EMDR training. If you’ve been carrying something heavy for too long, know that healing is possible — and EMDR can be a beautiful part of that journey!

In light of the recent events and ongoing debates happening around the world, many are experiencing a sense of heaviness, uncertainty, and even grief. Significant loss doesn’t always mean the loss of a person—it can also mean the loss of security, stability, or hope. These emotions are very real, and it’s important to allow yourself space to process them.

During times like this, coping skills can be powerful tools for grounding and healing. A few to consider:

• Breathing techniques: Try box breathing (inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4) to calm the nervous system.

• Journaling: Write down your thoughts and feelings to release what you may not want to carry alone.

• Connection: Reach out to a trusted friend, loved one, or community for support.

• Movement: Gentle exercise, walking, or stretching can help release built-up stress.

• Mindful breaks: Step away from the news or social media when it feels overwhelming.

Remember, coping doesn’t mean ignoring your feelings—it means creating space to move through them with care. If you’re struggling, you don’t have to go through it alone. Support is available. 💙

Mondays can feel overwhelming, but they also offer a fresh start. Here are a few ways you can prepare yourself for the week ahead:

• 🌱 Set one small, realistic intention (instead of a long to-do list).

• 🧘 Check in with your body and mind—what do you need more of this week (rest, movement, connection)?

• 📅 Plan small moments of self-care like a walk, journaling, or calling a friend.

• 💡 Remember: progress, not perfection.

The beginning of the week doesn’t have to mean pressure—it can mean possibility. What’s one intention you want to carry with you this week?

✨ Back-to-School Doesn’t Have to Mean Back-to-Stress! ✨

As a therapist (and someone who knows both kids and parents feel the transition), I want to share 4 ways to make going back to school smoother—for your child and for you:

1️⃣ Ease Into the Routine
• Start adjusting bedtime/wake-up times a week before school starts.
• Helps kids feel rested and parents feel less rushed.

2️⃣ Create a “Launch Pad”
• Designate one spot for backpacks, shoes, and homework.
• Cuts down on morning chaos and forgotten items.

3️⃣ Talk About Feelings Early
• Ask: “What are you excited about? What’s worrying you?”
• Kids feel heard, parents can address concerns before they grow.

4️⃣ Plan Fun in the First Week
• Add a small treat or family activity after school.
• Builds positive associations with the school year for everyone.

💡 Why it works: Kids thrive on predictability, and parents benefit from fewer last-minute surprises. Everyone gets to start the year calmer and more connected.

📌 If you’d like extra support helping your child (and yourself) transition smoothly into the school week, I’m currently taking new clients with Medicaid PASS and Tier insurance, as well as self-pay options! Information is linked in my bio!

✨ Change is hard. Even the g o o d kind.

Our brains cling to what’s familiar — even when it keeps us stuck.
That’s why one of my favorite tools is cognitive restructuring: learning to catch unhelpful thoughts, challenge them, and see situations in a new light.

🧠 It’s not about “thinking positive.”
It’s about thinking clearly — so you can live with more choice and less fear.

This page is my new space to share simple, evidence-based ways to shift your mindset and your life. I’m stepping into change, too. Let’s do it together - and I’m glad you’re here for the journey! 💛
