Why arenāt more people talking about this?
Itās an epidemic out there and Iām going to teach you a few key factors that will help you steer clear of this devastating disease process! š
1ļøā£ Get your fasting insulin and c-peptide markers drawn through blood work!! I couldnāt encourage this MORE! Working with a provider that tells you itās not important? Theyāre wrong! Work with a provider like me who is willing to do the deeper work š«¶š¼
2ļøā£ Avoid processed āfoodsā at all costs. This includes fast food, sodas, most things in packages, etc. As a general rule, if itās packaged and created for convenience, itās likely not healthy.
3ļøā£ Pay attention to key symptoms of insulin resistance: abdominal weight gain (and is stubborn weight), irregular periods (if youāre a woman), fatigue, headaches, changes in thirst, or brain fog. Depending on where you are on the spectrum of insulin resistance, it is likely you wonāt have any noticeable symptoms in the early stages.
4ļøā£ Take a look at your old lab work. If you have elevations in glucose or triglycerides alone, I encourage you to do a deeper dive into investigating if you have insulin resistance or not.
5ļøā£ Working on lower extremity exercises like squats , lunges, steep incline treadmill walking, deadlifts, step ups, box jumps, wall sits, etc will help eat up a ton of glucose with those large muscle groups!
I have helped clients not only come off of medication š for insulin resistance all the way to diabetes, but working diligently together, weāve been able to REVERSE the disease process!! š
Letās work together to get you healthy! During my consultations, I will provide you with a thorough walk through of your health. I will then send you home with bonus educational resources and lifestyle guides to help you along with your personalized plan and protocol.
