Today, on Good Friday, we pause to remember the incredible sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

As a sports medicine physician, I spend my days helping people recover from injury, push through pain, and return stronger than before. Good Friday reminds me that the greatest act of love ever demonstrated came through suffering willingly endured for the sake of others.

Jesus gave His life for all of us — an undeserved gift of grace, forgiveness, and hope. The cross is a powerful reminder that love is sacrificial, redemption is real, and even in our darkest moments, there is purpose and promise.

Wishing you and your families a meaningful Good Friday as we reflect with gratitude on the ultimate sacrifice and the hope it brings.

🌟 A Quick, Encouraging Update from HealthWorks Sports Medicine 🌟
We’ve been seeing more and more positive feedback—both in the research world and right here in our own clinic—about the use of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) for partial‑thickness rotator cuff tears and arthritis. It’s always exciting when a treatment that focuses on the body’s own healing abilities continues to show promise.

For many patients, PRP has helped reduce pain, improve function, and support a more natural recovery path. It’s not magic, and it’s not for everyone, but the growing evidence is encouraging. When we can help someone avoid steroids or delay more invasive options, that’s a win in my book.

If you’ve been dealing with shoulder pain or arthritis and are curious whether PRP might be a good fit, we’re always happy to talk through your options and help you make the best decision for your goals and lifestyle.

Here’s to healing smarter, moving better, and staying active at every age.

Tennis Elbow Isn’t Just an Athlete Problem
Tennis elbow commonly affects people who lift, grip, or use their hands at work. It is usually a degenerative tendon condition, not an inflammatory one.

That’s why repeated steroid injections often don’t work long‑term.

At HealthWorks, treatment focuses on tendon health—not just pain suppression.

Steroid Injections: What They Do (and Don’t Do)
Steroid injections can be very effective at calming inflammation and pain—but they don’t repair damaged tissue.
When used strategically, they can:
- Reduce pain
- Improve function
- Help rehab move forward
The key is using them at the right time and for the right reason.
At HealthWorks Sports Medicine, injections are used strategically, not automatically, and often paired with rehab and movement optimization.

Let’s discuss whether a steroid injection fits your overall treatment plan.
