🌱 Our therapy team has been counting down the days until spring. We love opportunities to get out kiddos moving and playing outside! 🌞

Check out this free family event offered by our friends at McCracken County Cooperative Extension! ⬇️

Join us on April 17 from 3:00–6:00 PM for our Grow With Extension event. This free event offers activities for the whole family.
There will be a story walk for younger children, and each family will be able to take home a copy of the featured book. Participants can also enjoy a hands-on planting activity, pick up a free rough leaf dogwood tree (while supplies last), and explore a variety of crafts and snacks.
We hope you’ll join us!

📚✨ Happy National Grammar Day! ✨📚
Did you know strong grammar skills start developing long before kids write full sentences? Early language skills build the foundation for reading, writing, and classroom confidence!

Here are 3 easy ways to support early grammar development at home:

🗣️ Model full sentences
If your child says, “Doggy run,” you can respond with, “Yes! The dog is running fast!”

📖 Read and repeat
While reading, pause and repeat short sentences. Emphasize little words like is, are, was, and the — they matter!

🎲 Play with sentences
Turn everyday moments into language practice:
“We are putting on shoes.”
“She is eating apples.”

Small changes in everyday conversations make a BIG difference in communication growth! 💙
