Community baby showers are so fun! At Lumera, we understand that parenthood is a beautiful collection of moments—some filled with pure joy and others that feel like a struggle. We want you to know that you don't have to navigate these pieces alone. Our team is here to walk alongside you, offering a grounded and compassionate space to help you find clarity on your path forward.

Tonight, we had the honor of attending a city commission meeting where a proclamation was made for Mental Health Awareness Month this May.

In that room stood a powerful reminder: we are not alone in this work. Healthcare providers, mental health professionals, and advocates from across our community gathered side by side—each of us committed to expanding access to care and supporting those who need it most.

We see the need. We hear the stories. And together, we are showing up with compassion, intention, and hope.

At Lumera Healthcare, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to feel supported, understood, and a little more at peace. Moments like this remind us that when we come together, we create more space for healing—and more light for those still finding their way.

Here’s to a month (and a movement) rooted in awareness, connection, and care.

"Group therapy is where we can show up, be seen, be heard, and feel supported....when people realize they're not the only one going through something then change doesn't just feel possible, it starts happening." - Hannah Klein, LCSW, Director of Clinical Operations

"When you're really depressed, everything feels dull. Now...things are twinkling a little more."

TMS is is an FDA-cleared therapy using short magnetic pulses to stimulate nerve cells in the portion of the brain that controls mood. It's not invasive, it's not medication and it's not a treatment that will derail your entire day.

Medication management isn't the only option for depression. That's why we encourage whole person, person-centered care. We have a dedicated team of medical, clinical and support professionals across western Kentucky, all committed to helping you become the best version of yourself.

Loss isn't easy, but when you share the pain it gets a little softer. This weekend a couple of our clinicians helped out at Camp Robin hosted by Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital The butterfly release was an especially powerful moment for many.

"My favorite moment was watching kids slowly find friends that they could connect with over their losses and build their own support systems," said Layne Josleyn, CSW.

Grief looks different for every adult, child, and teen, but we're thankful to work with them in our own clinics and through community organizations such as this!

🛑 Stop Scrolling, Start Thinking! 🧠

Lumera’s Director of Children's Medical Services, Hailey Herndon, PA-C, offers a compelling perspective on the immense influence of social media on young individuals.

Her Key Takeaway: It's not about banning screens; it's about fostering mindful usage for the next generation.

"This is where I was diagnosed with ADHD last year. Since discovering this, I have worked with Misty Coleman, NP and I could NOT have asked for a better person. I see her for med management, but she makes time to ask how I am and listens when I answer. I feel heard and valued. That's priceless." - A.C.

Hearing feedback like this is what motivates our entire team to continue delivering the best care. Lumera is dedicated to providing personalized, whole-person care, whatever your journey may be!
