Prim and Primal Handmade deodorants and other personal care products made only with essential oils and other natural ingredients.

Prim and Primal was born when founder Barbara McDonald had the desire to make a healthy deodorant for friends and family. A couple of months later she decided to share it at the local farmer's market. "About a year later, when repeat customers were regularly making me promise that I will never stop making it, I decided to branch out further." In addition to homeschooling her two children in Alaska for 10 years, she also managed a health food co-op providing fresh organic fruits, vegetables, and dry goods for over 25 families. "I’ve always been about finding the healthiest products. When I can’t find any I make them myself and I love being able to share my passion with others." Barbara now lives in the south with her husband, Ron, enjoying the white sand beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama.
