Winter storm warning. ⚠️
I know we are normally prepared, but with very little to no snow this year, I’d like to remind everyone to take it slow. We are out of practice for driving in snow. ❄️ Not to mention, it’s supposed to be low visibility at times due to high winds.

Also as your chiropractor, I’d like to mention that I see a marked increase in injuries due to shoveling or falling on ice. 🧊 please reach out if you find yourself in need of care. We will do our best to work you into the schedule.

My wife will be hanging some of her HD metal prints in the office soon. They are available for purchase. Let us know if there’s a print of something you’ve seen that you want, and she can get that specialty ordered for you.

Though there was a KP 6-7 at the time of this photo, I believe most of the color was not the Aurora and instead was Airglow. I was actually hunting for 'airglow' last night anyway, as I find it has a rainbow like effect on the night sky, when the KP happened to also pop off.

The pink/orange at the mountains was potentially a small bit of aurora as it did fluctuate more from image to image than the rest of the coloring.

This was at 10 PM looking North / North East at Williams Reservoir near Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

What is airglow?
Airglow occurs when atoms and molecules in the upper atmosphere, excited by sunlight, emit light in order to shed their excess energy. The phenomenon is similar to auroras, but where auroras are driven by high-energy particles originating from the solar wind, airglow is sparked by day-to-day solar radiation.

🚨 EMERGENCY NOTICE: Wastewater System Alert – Your Help Needed! 🚨

The PSSGID Wastewater System is experiencing a critical situation:

Pump Station #2 has failed as of this afternoon, on top of a previous issue related to a recent lightning strike.

This combination of failures is putting extreme pressure on the remaining system, which has already been working overtime while replacement parts arrive.

How YOU can help right now:
To minimize added strain on the system, please limit the amount of water going down the drain in all forms:
* Only flush solid waste and minimize flushing liquid waste
* Take shorter showers and baths
* Avoid using the sink, washing machine, and dishwasher

We urgently need community-wide support to minimize stress on the wastewater system until repairs can be made. The GID is actively working to locate and deliver a replacement pump as quickly as possible. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more information. Thank you for doing your part to protect our system and prevent further disruptions!
