Dehydration physically stresses the body and disrupts the signals between the brain and body.
This directly affects your mood and emotions.

This prevention protocol has greatly reduced the intensity and even during some months .. completely eliminated migraines for me.
I’m learning a lot about what causes inflammation and what leads to the hormonal migraines for me.

Stillness can be uncomfortable if we’re use to giving into the distractions to pass time or avoid something.

The chaos on your newsfeed, the radio and television keeps your nervous system in overdrive. Leaving you in a constant state of worry or comparison with others.

Living in high alert all the time leads to a dysregulated nervous system and chronic health issues.

Here is a challenge for you to embrace stillness in the present moment. For the 7 days pick 2 of these to commit to:

• Go to the bathroom without your phone.
• Eat your meals without electronics.
• When you’re in the check out line at a store, keep your phone put away.
• For the first hour of your day avoid going on your phone.
• Put your phone away an hour before bedtime.

Have you tried somatic therapy?

If you have ever done breathwork with me, you have!

I typically incorporate somatic exercises like tapping, shaking, jumping or swaying with the breath pattern to support your healing process in a way you may have never experienced before.
This often times leads to a deeper sense of body awareness and helps bring the emotions up and out to be released.

60 seconds of a somatic exercise can shift the symptoms of anxiety out of the body - boosting your feel good hormones and allowing your mind to focus on what’s alive in your body!

I use movement over stillness when :
my chest feels heavy
deep breathing feels impossible
my thoughts are racing a mile a minute

After the movement, I assess how I feel.
If the anxiety is still there - now I sit in stillness and process the emotions with deep breathing.

Everything seems to connect and flow a bit easier now.

Let’s stop resisting anxiety and instead use it as a context clue to explore the root of what is causing you to be anxious.

It’s how you respond to it that matters.

Get curious and use your anxiety as a roadmap to understand YOU on a deeper level.

Instead of numbing or suppressing what you’re feeling, I invite you to meet the anxiety with presence and breath.

Allow as much space as you need to feel through the emotions and process them.

Learn how to use your breath to metabolize the heaviness, the worry, the negative mental loop in your head.

Accept that in every moment you are allowed to feel many different emotions at once.

Invite yourself to feel gratitude in the chaos.
Love what is and trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
