For the Health of it I have been a LMT since 2001 with an associates degree in Therapeutic Massage Therapy. Life is meant to be lived and sometimes we just need that extra boost.

This group is to help motivate, educate and share our successes along with our rants. My husband Dave and I go back and forth with HEALTH! and we want to get on board. We wanted to just have a place where we can just post what we want. My name is Lindsey and I have four auto immune diseases and feel that medication is not the only way (or any way) to go. I want to improve my HEALTH! by improving my lifestyle. I have been on this journey now since 2009 when I first got diagnosed with celiac disease. I have now been diagnosed since then with raynaud's syndrome, lymphocytic colitis and IBD - they don't know if it is crohn's or ulcerative colitis. I have three kids and work full-time. So I KNOW how hard it can be. I work at a printing company as my main job, but I also am a Medical Massage Therapist and Gymnastics Coach. I love the human body and all that it is about. My husband Dave has always been into fitness. He has been struggling as he is coming into his 40th year and has challenged himself to get into shape. He is a mechanical engineer so he enjoys knowing how everything works and seeing results. As a father of 3 and a husband who sometimes has to play Mr. Mom when I am not feeling well - he has his hands full! There is so much we can learn from each other and that is the BEST part of this page. I want to do some challenges - food, exercise, etc. I want people to challenge us.

I'm still reeling from our vacation-turned-home-emergency. A storm caused our basement to flood with sewer water, and we're still dealing with the aftermath. It's hard to believe the damage one foot of water can do. But I'm choosing to focus on the good - like my massage office and flexible clients. They've been a blessing during this challenging time.
