Take Action Now! Help us stop cuts to disability services!

The Illinois House of Representatives will hold important hearings this week on cutting hours for direct support professionals (DSPs). These cuts directly impact service to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We urge you to fill out a witness slip opposing these cuts TODAY!

Please note instructions for completing the witness slip:

After filling out all the personal details, there are 3 sections below contact information:

Representation = your organization or association
Position = use the arrows to scroll down for
Add Legislation (if you use the link provided, it is connected to HJR44) so just choose ‘original bill’
Add Position – Choose PROPONENT if you are in favor of passing HJR44
Testimony = this is related to providing testimony, sending written testimony or just attending/sharing your position
Check Record of Appearance Only
You do have to ‘check’ that you agree to ILGA terms for the form to be submitted

Motorola rolled up their sleeves in the garden and helped tidy up the Horticulture Center, while Omron gave the Countryside break room a deep clean and polished the windows to a shine.

Life in Motion visited the Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin to explore the Dinosaur Explorer Exhibit! Participants learned about different kinds of dinosaurs and even used interactive technology to transform into dinosaurs themselves—what a roar-some time! 🦕
