My Wellness Journey
As a nurse, caring for others typically takes priority over self-care. Inactivity was taking a toll on my health, as well as my appearance. I was tired of feeling tired all the time so I decided to invest in my own well-being.
In May of 2023, I went to see Travis at Wacha's Wellness, who is guiding my journey through weight loss, exercise, and nutritional supplements. There are many wellness providers out there. I did my research and chose one that most closely met my needs. I see Travis for monthly follow-ups, medication, and supplements to keep my overall health and weight loss on track.
I chose Anytime Fitness for exercise and shaping up. One big concern with women in my age group (over 60) is maintaining muscle mass and bone density. Weight training is very important to accomplish this. My trainer, Hannah, has worked with me to design workouts, where I gain the most benefit in the least amount of time. And you can see the results. These days I have plenty of energy to do the things I want to do, as well as continuing to care for others. Anytime Fitness is part of my wellness journey. I would recommend them to anyone looking to improve their health in the coming years.
