This week, we were honored to celebrate and recognize our incredible Life Enrichment Assistants, Isis and Lori, with some of their favorite goodies and the appreciation they truly deserve. We are beyond thankful to have such a compassionate, dedicated team who pours their hearts into loving and caring for our residents every single day. We had an absolute blast yesterday making mini pepperoni pizzas on English muffins! 🍕 The turnout was amazing, with residents lining up three-deep and excitedly waiting for their turn to create their own personal pizza. Best of all, we made plenty to share, so everyone got to enjoy a delicious homemade appetizer before lunch. What a fun and tasty day together!

We had so much fun in Crafter’s Corner today painting beautiful cardinals! 🎨❤️ The room was filled with smiles, creativity, and wonderful conversations as everyone added their own special touch to their artwork.

Art is so important for people living with dementia—it encourages self-expression, sparks memories, builds confidence, and brings a calming sense of joy and accomplishment. Days like today remind us that creativity has no limits and joy can always be found in the moment.

We kicked off our morning in the kitchen, whipping up some delicious turkey and ham pinwheels to share with everyone — and they were a big hit! 😋 Nothing like good food made together to start the day off right.

This afternoon, we had the immense pleasure of welcoming four new neighbors to our community with our Welcome Aboard Happy Hour 🥂. We are so thankful for the opportunity to get to know them and look forward to creating many wonderful memories together. 💛

We had so much fun making sugar cookies today! 🍪 From mixing the dough, to rolling it out, to the very best part—enjoying a sweet taste at the end—every step of the baking process offered something meaningful to do.

Activities like baking are inspired by Montessori-style learning, encouraging hands-on involvement, choice, and engagement. It’s not only joyful, but also incredibly beneficial—especially for people living with dementia—by supporting motor skills, sensory stimulation, independence, and connection.

Smiles, laughter, and the smell of fresh cookies filled the room, reminding us that simple moments can be the most meaningful. 💛
