Rollology

Rollology A group of movement professionals dedicated to transforming the world with this renowned fitness ROLLOLOGY FAQs
What is ROLLOLGY?

ROLLOLOGY®, developed by Second Generation Master Pilates Instructor Alyson Limehouse, is a cutting edge discipline that starts with the core using a foam roller. The ROLLOLOGY technique stems from the Feldenkreis method and Pilates, which work together by stretching and strengthening the abdominals to properly align and support the body for optimal posture. These simple movements on the roller do the following:

· Strengthen core muscles
· Improves body alignment
· Improves balance
· Strengthen arms and legs
· Decreases cellulite
· Promotes flexibility
· Improves posture

Who is ROLLOLOGY for? ROLLOLOGY is for all ages, body types and athletic levels. Not only does this method create longer, leaner muscles and better support for the body, it is therapeutic for those with injury. Today’s society is very sedentary with the constant rise of technology. More and more people are developing upper and lower back issues due to the daily use of computers, smart phones, tablets and even driving, causing the body to become hunched over. Using ROLLOLOGY counteracts this issue by forcing the head, neck and shoulders into a more open and forward position.

Day 15 of March MATness features NECK PULL, beautifully executed by Monica Perez.

Monica is a physical therapist, owner of The Core Studio in St. Augustine Beach, Florida, a proud Rollologist, and a second-generation Master Pilates Instructor. Movement and rehabilitation run deep in her roots—both of Monica’s parents were physical therapists who owned a clinic in San Juan, Puerto Rico, giving her a lifelong lineage of understanding the body.

The Neck Pull challenges spinal articulation, hamstring length, and deep core control as you roll down and lift back up with precision and strength. Monica demonstrates how control, posture, and alignment create the foundation for powerful movement.

This is the essence of Rollology—moving with awareness, support, and intelligent connection to the body.

Performed for March MATness and shared by Alyson Limehouse.

This classic exercise from Joseph Pilates challenges balance, control, and deep core strength. The body rocks smoothly back and forth while maintaining a lifted spine and strong center.

Using the Rollology roller helps keep the shoulders aligned and the body steady, allowing you to find the true control and rhythm of the movement. It’s all about core connection, balance, and flow.

Strong spine. Strong core. Smooth rock.
