Christmas is a reminder of the joy found in connection, compassion, and community. At Roots to Recovery, this season highlights the power of togetherness—supporting one another, sharing hope, and celebrating how far we’ve come, side by side.

Whether it’s a kind word, a shared meal, or simply knowing you’re not alone, the holidays bring us closer and remind us that healing happens best when we’re connected. 🤍

From our Roots to yours, we wish you a Christmas filled with peace, warmth, and meaningful moments. 🎁🌟

Word of the Week: Grace 🤍

As December comes to a close, it invites reflection rather than pressure. Grace is the practice of acknowledging the work accomplished this year—professionally, personally, and in service to others—while honoring the challenges faced along the way.

Progress is not always defined by outcomes alone. Often, it is reflected in consistency, resilience, and the continued choice to show up with purpose and integrity. As we approach the new year, may we allow space for rest, thoughtful reflection, and intentional realignment. ✨

So, you finished rehab...You’re sober now.

Living in a halfway house... 🏡
Waking up early to catch the bus to a job that barely pays the bills. You’re splitting a fridge with three other addicts, listening to them fight over food or relapse excuses, trying to stay focused on your own lane — your own recovery.

You’re hitting your meetings. Three a week. You’re sitting in folding chairs under fluorescent lights, listening to other people’s pain, trying to believe that maybe… just maybe… one day, yours will turn into purpose too.

And I know there are nights when it doesn’t feel worth it. When you’re sitting on the edge of your bed staring at the same four walls, thinking, Is this really what I got sober for?

When the silence gets so loud it starts screaming your name. When giving up feels easier than fighting through another day. But let me tell you something — it takes a rare kind of strength to do what you’re doing. Because anybody can self-destruct.

Anybody can run.
Anybody can hide behind a bottle, a pill, a pipe or a needle.

But it takes a fighter to start from scratch and rebuild their life one sober day at a time. You’re not weak because it’s hard. You’re not broken because it hurts. You’re becoming. You’re laying the bricks for a life that’s going to mean something.

That bus you’re riding to that minimum wage job? That’s not humiliation — that’s humility. That’s faith in motion. Every mile is proof that you’re not who you used to be. 🚌

That sober house that smells like burnt ramen and resentment? That’s your launching pad. That’s where your comeback story is being written. And those meetings you drag yourself to? Those are your classrooms — where pain turns into wisdom, and strangers turn into family.

Listen to me — what God is building in you right now, in this season that feels small and insignificant, is going to blow your mind when it unfolds. You’re not just surviving this chapter — you’re being prepared for the next one.

🫂 You might not see it yet, but you’re a walking miracle in progress. A warrior in transition. A Rockstar in recovery. So don’t quit now. Not when you’ve already made it this far. The world hasn’t even seen what you’re capable of yet. I see you. I’m proud of you.
And I promise you — if you just keep going, it gets better. 🙏

I didnt write this but its to real not to share! 💯 DONT EVER QUIT, ONE DAY AT TIME! YOU GOT THIS! 🦾💪🏽🔥💫🌟

“Today’s Structure is Tomorrow’s Balace”

Society faces a crisis due to lack of trust and structure provided for those in recovery for alcohol and substance abuse. Roots to Recovery (RTR) provides security, trust, and structure while introducing faith into recovery for all individuals. RTR is licensed residence with to be trained staff that provide life-skills and Person-Centered Care (PCC), relapse and su***de prevention, smoking cessation, financial tools, holistic benefits, community involvement, Evidenced-Based Programs (EBP), and the safety for medication management through a structured, balanced, responsible home. Additional to EBP, clients are held individually responsible by use of the Phase Program. A live-in manager oversees operations, leads mandatory "House Meetings" and "Family Dinners", conducts drug screenings and inspections. Owner, managers, staff, and volunteers are screened for client safety. Providing trust, structure, and individual accountability, faith is reintroduced back to recovery residence. We strive to lead by example and set moral principles during the opioid crisis. FL's statute declares it unlawful for any person to engage in patient brokering and RTR strives to educate staff, residents, and resident's family about avoiding this. By demanding transparency, we differ from our competitors. Encouraging family engagement eliminates vulnerability and victimization. _______________________________________________________________Katrina L Chase, Founder/Owner/CEO/ACRPS/R.T.(R),ARRT,ASRT Brief professional history involves of but not restricted to:10 years dedicated to medicine, maintain FL License of Radiology, Associate of Applied Health Science (AAS), Advanced Certified Relapse Prevention Specialist (ACRPS), finalized Recovery Residence Administrator (RRA) degree from The Academy for Addiction Professionals (CRRA is in final process of Certification with FL board).
