Happy birthday Dr. Seuss! Our EI kiddos had a blast for Wacky Wednesday today! Can you spot the things that are wacky? This created opportunities to tolerate a change in the environment, flexibility, spontaneous language, tacting and prepositions!

🇺🇸Happy Presidents Day! 🇺🇸Today we talked a bit about what a president does and how many we have had. We made a “hat” while working on fine motor skills, asking for items needed, tracing skills, and following directions. We had such fun!

Only 9 more days until Christmas! Can you believe it? Our Early Intervention learners have been busy little elves around our program. Our PBS EI team love creating natural opportunities for learning while working on critical life skills and goals.

Our thanksgiving month was jam packed with festivities. Complete with window painting of a turkey, thankful trees and even learning how to set a table.

Last week was very eventful at our Treasure Coast Early intervention program! Our clients were able to learn how to safely trick or treat and tolerate Halloween costumes that they may not be used to. We are back this week with a well loved game; alphabet soup or in this case, alphabet fried rice! It is so fun to incorporate sensory input while completing an activity like a puzzle. It also opens up your learner for spontaneous speech and additional social interaction.

We love Koo Koo Kangaroo at our EI program! Have you ever played the Rollercoaster song? It’s a great opportunity to provide sensory input and follow directions! Oh and did I mention how much fun it is?!

I get asked about sensory bins a lot! A sensory bin is a tactile, hands-on learning experience for our clients and a fun engaging way to work on fine motor skills, social skills and verbal behavior. They are also so simple to make, we made a cute Halloween themed bin in minutes at our program! 🎃🧟

Our Early Intervention Program was recently featured in Special Needs Parenting Magazine. They say if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life and it is true. Through evidenced based assessment, a hybrid therapy model and experienced, passionate staff we are making waves down in Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast!
