Aging isn’t just about wrinkles. It’s about structure.

Over time, the face changes in predictable ways:
• Loss of bone support
• Descent of the SMAS layer
• Volume loss in the midface
• Skin laxity along the jawline

When these layers shift, the lower face begins to look heavier and less defined.

At DelMar Aesthetics, we focus on facial architecture, not quick fixes.

By addressing the deeper structures of the face, we can restore:
✨ Jawline definition
✨ Midface support
✨ Natural facial harmony

The result is a refreshed, lifted appearance that still looks like you.

Subtle. Elegant. Structural rejuvenation.

Because the goal is never to change your face —
it’s to restore what time gradually shifted.

WHAT IS SMAS — AND WHY DOES IT MATTER IN FACIAL AGING?

Most people think aging is a skin problem.

In reality, much of facial aging happens below the skin — in a deeper structural layer called the SMAS.

The SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) is a fibrous network that connects facial muscles to the skin. It functions like a support framework for the midface, jawline, and neck.

When this structural layer weakens or descends, the visible signs of aging appear:

• Jowls
• Loss of jawline definition
• Nasolabial folds
• Midface descent
• Early neck laxity

This is why treatments that only target the surface of the skin often provide limited improvement.

They improve texture, not position.

In surgical facelifts, surgeons lift the SMAS layer, not just the skin — because that is where true structural repositioning occurs.

Non-surgical treatments attempt to address this in different ways:

• Energy-based devices stimulate collagen and improve skin quality
• Biostimulators improve tissue support
• Structural procedures aim to reposition descended tissue

Understanding the anatomy changes the entire treatment strategy.

Because the real question isn’t:

“Which treatment is best?”

It’s:

Which layer of aging are we treating?

Botox is one of the most powerful tools in aesthetic medicine.
But it’s often misunderstood.

Botox works by relaxing specific facial muscles that cause expression lines.

It treats movement — not gravity.

Which means Botox can soften:

• Forehead lines
• Frown lines (glabella)
• Crow’s feet
• Bunny lines
• Neck bands (platysma)

But Botox does not reposition descended tissue.

It cannot lift:

• Jowls
• Midface descent
• Nasolabial folds
• Cheek volume loss
• Jawline laxity

Why?

Because facial aging happens across multiple anatomical layers:

1️⃣ Skin (texture, pigmentation)
2️⃣ Fat pads (volume loss or descent)
3️⃣ Ligaments (structural support)
4️⃣ SMAS / deeper tissue layers

Botox only affects muscle activity.

It improves wrinkles caused by movement, but lifting requires structural support.

This is why modern facial rejuvenation often involves layered treatment strategies, combining:

• Neuromodulators (Botox®)
• Structural fillers
• Biostimulators
• Energy-based collagen stimulation
• Lifting procedures when needed

Understanding which layer is aging determines which treatment actually works.

Because the real question isn’t:
“Should I get Botox?”

It’s:

What exactly is causing the aging?

THE NECK AGES FIRST.
And it rarely happens for just one reason.

Most people assume neck aging is simply “loose skin.”
In reality, it’s usually a combination of structural, muscular, and skin changes happening at the same time.

Which is why one treatment rarely fixes everything.

Here’s what is actually happening below the jawline:

1️⃣ Skin Thinning & Collagen Loss
With age, the neck loses collagen faster than the face. The skin becomes thinner and less elastic.

Treatments that help:
• RF microneedling
• CO₂ laser resurfacing
• BBL skin treatments
• Biostimulators

2️⃣ Structural Support Loss
As the lower face and jawline lose support, tissue begins to descend into the neck.

Treatments that help:
• Structural lifting procedures
• French Lift®
• Permanent suture neck lift

3️⃣ Platysma Muscle Activity
The vertical neck bands many people notice are caused by the platysma muscle pulling downward.

Treatments that help:
• Neuromodulators (Botox)
• Structural support procedures

4️⃣ Fat Redistribution
Aging can cause both fat loss and fat accumulation under the chin.

Treatments that help:
• Collagen stimulation
• Energy-based tightening
• Structural repositioning

5️⃣ Sun Damage
The neck receives as much sun exposure as the face but is often neglected in skincare routines.

Treatments that help:
• BBL phototherapy
• CO₂ laser resurfacing
• Medical-grade skin protocols

The real solution?
A treatment strategy, not a single product.

Because the neck is where anatomy, skin quality, muscle activity, and structural support all intersect.

Lifted. Not filled.

Jowls and lower face heaviness are caused by descent — not simply volume loss.

The French Lift® restores structural support, redefining the jawline without creating puffiness.

Patients travel from Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, and throughout South Florida for this approach.

Structural repositioning.
Natural results.

Surface treatments are common.

Layered precision is not.

BBL is not a facial.
It is calibrated light — selected by depth, absorbed by target, delivered with anatomical intent.

Pigment.
Vascularity.
Collagen.

Each resides in a different layer.
Each requires a different wavelength.
Each demands correct sequencing.

Settings are easy.
Diagnosis is not.

There’s a noticeable shift happening in aesthetics.

Patients are asking for:
• Natural expression
• Skin quality over stiffness
• Regenerative support
• Subtle structural restoration

But here’s the truth:

Aging doesn’t happen in one layer - so treatment shouldn’t either.

Facial aging involves:
– Skin texture + collagen loss
– Volume depletion
– Ligament laxity
– Bone remodeling
– Muscle movement

Neuromodulators still have a place.
But they are no longer the entire strategy.

The modern approach is layered and intentional:
Low-dose toxin when appropriate.
Biostimulators for collagen.
Energy-based treatments for skin quality.
Structural support where needed.

It’s not about “NoTox.”
It’s about smart sequencing.

At DelMar, we design treatment plans.

Hydrafacial® is not a glow treatment.
It is a controlled, three-step dermal reset.

Step 1 — Cleanse + Exfoliate
Dead keratinized cells are gently loosened while surface debris and oxidized oil are cleared. This improves light reflection, product pe*******on, and prepares the skin barrier for controlled extraction.

Step 2 — Extract
Using vortex suction (not manual pressure), congested pores are cleared of sebum, debris, and micro-impurities — reducing inflammation without trauma.

Step 3 — Infuse
This is where treatment becomes customized.

The booster serum selected determines the biological objective:

• Growth Factor boosters – support collagen signaling and post-procedure recovery
• Brightening boosters (Vitamin C, Arbutin, Tranexamic Acid) – target hyperpigmentation and uneven tone
• Clarifying boosters (Salicylic Acid, Peptides) – regulate oil production and acne-prone skin
• Hydrating boosters (Hyaluronic Acid, Antioxidants) – restore barrier function and reduce TEWL
• ZO Rozatrol / anti-inflammatory support – calm rosacea-prone or reactive skin

The infusion step is not cosmetic fluff.
It is targeted biochemical support.

Hydrafacial® works best when sequenced — not performed as a one-time event.

Healthy skin is built in layers.
Results follow structure.

Save this for your next treatment plan discussion.

Surgery has its place.

But not every face requires it.

Facial aging is structural — driven by descent, ligament laxity, and changes in deep support.

Energy-based treatments improve skin quality, but they do not reposition tissue.

For the right candidate, structure can be restored without incisions or general anesthesia.

The key is understanding the anatomy.

Consultations determine candidacy.

This is not a PDO thread lift.

The French Lift® is a structural repositioning procedure utilizing permanent sutures to restore support where tissue has descended.

Performed under local anesthesia in approximately one hour, the technique is designed to provide lift and structural integrity for 3–5 years.

No inflation.
No distortion.
No surgical downtime.

This is anatomy-guided lifting — executed with precision.

The French Lift® is not about adding volume.

It’s about restoring structural support.

As we age, facial tissues descend due to ligament laxity and loss of deep support. The result is heaviness along the jawline and lower face — not simply wrinkles.

The French Lift® focuses on:

Repositioning descended tissue.
Reinforcing structural support.
Refining contours naturally.

This is why patients travel from Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, and throughout South Florida for structural expertise.

Lift first.
Then refine.

A lift begins with evaluation — not injection.

Before any treatment is performed, facial structure must be assessed.

Where is the descent?
Where has support weakened?
Where should repositioning occur?

Jowls, heaviness along the jawline, and midface collapse are not surface problems — they are structural changes.

The French Lift® is designed to restore support at the foundational level, addressing tissue position rather than masking it.

Precision matters.
Assessment matters.
Structure always comes first.
