It was a joyful and meaningful week filled with connection, celebration, and reflection.

Congratulations to Nancy, our Blackjack Tournament winner, who now advances to the Championship Tournament on March 2nd! The friendly competition has brought plenty of laughter and excitement to the Village.

Residents embraced creativity while preparing for Mardi Gras, celebrated the Chinese New Year, enjoyed sweet King’s Cake on Fat Tuesday (with Stanley finding the lucky baby!), and gathered for a beautiful Ash Wednesday service led by Pastor Bill. From puppy visits with Teeny Tiny and Little Bit, to a lively Vegas-style performance by Valerie, to Friday Happy Hour featuring Cosmopolitans, each day offered moments that enriched life — body, mind, and spirit.

We also paused to remember four cherished members of our community. Their presence will be deeply missed and warmly remembered, and we hold their loved ones close in prayer.

At St. Mark Village, it is a blessing to walk through every season together — celebrating, supporting, and sharing life as family. 💙

It was a busy, fun-filled week at Highland Lakes! 🎉

♠️ Blackjack tournament update: Congrats to Evelyn—this week’s winner and now in the running for our overall Blackjack Championship in early March.

🗣️ Residents also gathered for our monthly Resident Association meeting, with Eileen F. kindly stepping in as interim President while Harry B. continues recovering.

🧇 Highlights included Waffle Wednesday, a Tarpon Springs Greek lunch outing (yes, flaming saganaki!), a lively parachute exercise session, and Valentine’s art time with friends.

🎤 We also enjoyed Valentine’s karaoke, treats, and pizzas delivered by a local hospice organization. Plus, a big congratulations to our Team Members celebrated at the annual Starfish Awards Banquet—Moe and Mary (Daisy Awards), MJ and Danielle (Bee Awards), and Danielle M., named Starfish of the Year! 🌟

💘 We wrapped up with live music from Doug Karl, a special Valentine’s lunch, Bingo, and a Strawberries and Cream Sparkler happy hour. 🍓🥂
