For ten years, Kathy Younker relied on a walker. Today, with the support of personalized wellness programming at St. Mark Village, she’s walking independently again 💙

This past week at St. Mark Village was filled with holiday joy, meaningful traditions, and beautiful moments of connection. Our Residents celebrated Hanukkah with a lively dreidel game, sharing laughter and friendly competition. Midweek brought extra cheer as students from Elisa Nelson Elementary filled the Village with Christmas carols and handmade gifts, followed by festive caroling in the Chapel. Residents also enjoyed a beloved holiday tradition with a scenic outing to see the Christmas lights in the Indian Trails neighborhood.

We wrapped up the week with a surprise visit from Pastor David MacAbee and a joyful Holiday Party featuring delicious food, festive drinks, and wonderful company. We are so grateful for this season and the sense of community that makes it so special. Thank you for being part of it! 🎄✨

This past week at Highland Lakes was full of heart, laughter, and holiday cheer. 🎄✨

From friendly blackjack games and creative bookmark-making to reindeer ring toss, seated exercise with pool noodles, and cozy cups of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream, our Residents enjoyed a week packed with joy and togetherness. Live holiday music filled the room, bubbles floated through the air, and familiar songs had everyone singing, dancing, and smiling from ear to ear.

Throughout the week, it was the simple moments that meant the most—friends holding hands at the table, laughter during games, shared treats, and Team Members celebrating right alongside our Residents. At Highland Lakes, these moments are what turn a community into a true place to call home. 💙
