Ever feel jaw tension that just won’t quit… even though nothing seems “wrong” up top? 👀 It might actually be coming from your hips and pelvis.
According to Anatomy Trains, the jaw and pelvis are linked through deep fascial lines—especially the Deep Front Line. This system connects the pelvic floor, psoas, diaphragm, deep core, throat muscles, and even the muscles of the jaw.
So when there’s weakness, imbalance, or instability in the hips, pelvis, or core, the jaw can step in as a surprising compensator.
✨ Common patterns I see:
• Underactive pelvic floor → jaw clenching to create “stability”
• Tight or overworking hip flexors → tension traveling up the chain into the diaphragm + jaw
• Weak deep core → upper body structures (including the jaw) gripping to make up for lost support
During assessments—especially with tools like —it’s not unusual to find the jaw overworking because the pelvis isn’t doing its job.
When we restore balance to the hips, pelvis, and deep core, the jaw finally gets to relax. 😌
Your body is one integrated system—nothing works in isolation.
If your jaw keeps talking… it might be your pelvis trying to get your attention. 😉
