Why is working in an OBL better than working in a hospital?

For many vascular physicians, the OBL model represents a better alignment of lifestyle, autonomy, efficiency, and patient care.

Don't Leave Growth to Luck.

As we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, it’s a good reminder—luck may work in Las Vegas, but it shouldn’t define the future of your practice.

This week at OEIS at Caesars Palace, Michael Licata, CEO of American Vascular Associates, will be meeting with physicians who are thinking beyond day-to-day success.

The conversation isn’t about chance.
It’s about strategy.

• Building infrastructure that scales
• Protecting autonomy while growing
• Designing sustainable enterprise value
• Preparing for what reimbursement and market shifts bring next

If you’re attending OEIS March 19–21, stop by Booth #203 and connect with Michael directly.

Growth should be intentional.
Value should be designed.
Success should be sustainable.

We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas.

🌈 The Pot of Gold Isn’t Luck. It’s Enterprise Value.

St. Patrick’s Day brings a lot of talk about luck and rainbows, but when it comes to your practice, your long-term outcome shouldn’t depend on either.

Every physician-owned practice will eventually face a defining question:

What is my exit strategy?

Whether that means partnership, recapitalization, ASC conversion, strategic alignment, or full transition — the value at the end of that journey is not accidental.

It is designed.

At OEIS, March 19–21 at Caesars Palace, Michael Licata, CEO of American Vascular Associates, will be meeting with physicians who are thinking beyond today’s schedule and into long-term enterprise value.

Key considerations many physicians are evaluating:

• Is my current infrastructure scalable?
• Am I optimizing revenue cycle performance?
• Does my governance model protect autonomy?
• What would my practice be worth today?
• What would increase that valuation in 3–5 years?

The ā€œpot of goldā€ isn’t a transaction.
It’s the cumulative result of intentional operational design, disciplined growth strategy, and aligned leadership.

If you’re attending OEIS, visit us at Booth 203.

Let’s talk about building value deliberately — not leaving it to chance.

🧠 Happy Birthday, Albert Einstein!

Born March 14, 1879, Einstein changed how we understand the universe. His work reshaped physics and proved that one idea can completely alter the way we see the world.

But even the greatest minds understood something important:

You don’t have to solve every equation alone.

Running an OBL or ASC today can sometimes feel like advanced physics—
revenue cycle management, staffing infrastructure, compliance requirements, vendor negotiations, service line growth… the formulas can get complicated quickly.

Many of the physicians we speak with are exceptional clinicians, but the operational side of running a center can pull valuable time away from patient care.

The smartest physicians know when it makes sense to bring in the right operational support so they can stay focused on what matters most.

Because sometimes the smartest move…
is asking for help.
