We’re halfway through our 10-week wellness journey with Blue Zones Project Palm Springs—and it’s not too late to join us.

One thing we all have in common?
We love to eat.

This week we’re exploring one of the most powerful longevity practices from the Blue Zones: the 80% Rule.

It’s the simple idea of eating until you’re about 80% full—giving your body space to digest, your energy room to stay steady, and your meals a sense of ease instead of excess.

It’s not about restriction.
It’s about awareness.

Slowing down.
Enjoying your food.
Listening to your body.

These gatherings are relaxed, welcoming, and filled with people who simply want to live long and live easy.

If you’ve been curious about joining us, this is a beautiful place to begin.

Come for the conversation.
Stay for the community.
Fresh cooked food will be served.

I’m just like you.

11 years ago panic and anxiety completely changed the direction of my life.

At the time I was deep in corporate burnout.
From the outside everything looked fine, but inside my body something wasn’t working.

My nervous system was overwhelmed.

I knew one thing very clearly.

I didn’t want medication.
I wanted to understand why my body felt the way it did.

So I started exploring holistic practices.
Breath. Movement. Meditation. Sound. Energy.

And along the way I followed one word:

Ease.

The Sanskrit translation is Sukha.

I didn’t set out to open a studio.
This wasn’t a business plan.

It was a purpose.

Now I spend my days helping people who feel the way I once did—
overwhelmed, anxious, and trying to hold it all together.

There are ways to understand your emotions.
There are ways to support your nervous system.

And there are ways to live with more ease.

Soundbaths at The Sukha Life are different.

Not because the bowls are prettier.
Not because the room looks good on Instagram.

It’s different because of how and why the sound is played.

Every Soundbath here is designed with one intention:
to support your nervous system.

Your vagus nerve — the communication highway between your brain and body — ends in the ears. Which means the frequencies you hear matter. The pacing matters. The silence matters.

This isn’t random sound.

It’s intentional regulation.

Each tone is guided by Lisa Botts, certified sound therapist with over 200 hours of training and more than 3,000 soundbaths facilitated. Years of study in sound as medicine, combined with thousands of hours listening to how the body actually responds.

Because the practitioner playing your soundbath matters.

The frequency they choose matters.
The rhythm matters.
The energy in the room matters.

This is not a concert.
It is not a performance.

It’s intentional care.

The lighting.
The pacing.
The temperature.
The way the sound moves through the room.

Every touchpoint and every sense is considered so your body can soften and settle.

You don’t have to do anything.

Just lie down.
Let the sound meet you where you are.

Come experience the difference.

We take care of our cars better than we take care of our selves.

When the warning light goes on in the car we take care of it.
When the warning light goes on in our system we over ride it.

Most people start their day reacting to the world.

Notifications.
News.
Emails.
Other people’s energy.

And then we wonder why our nervous system feels overwhelmed by 10am.

A regulated day starts with a regulated morning.

These 5 practices take less than five minutes, but they send powerful signals of safety to your body.

Water.
Humming.
Movement.
Nature.
Intention.

Small signals → steady nervous system → clearer mind.

Save this so you can try it tomorrow morning.

And share it with someone who’s ready to start their day feeling a little more steady.

Live easy.

Last night in The Live Easy Method movement class, I watched the shift happen in real time.

Women walked in stressed, anxious, and breathing shallow.

One session later…

Stressed → calm
Anxious → balanced
Shallow breath → deep breath

Nothing forced.
Just movement, breath, and sound helping the body remember how to regulate itself.

This is the foundation of The Live Easy Method.

Your stress gives signals.
When you learn how to listen, balance returns.

This week I had the rare and beautiful experience of harvesting flowers from desert native plants here in Palm Springs to dry and prepare tea for an upcoming gathering.

Guided by Jose and Cesar from the we walked slowly through the desert, learning from the plants that have quietly supported life here for centuries.

We gathered desert lavender, Chupa Rosa, desert mallow, and Mormon tea — each one with its own story, its own well-being properties, and its own relationship with this land.

What struck me most was the care in how we harvested.

We didn’t take much.

Just a few flowers from each plant.

Because this desert is a shared ecosystem — one that belongs just as much to the hummingbirds, bees, and pollinators as it does to us.

So we gathered only what we needed and left the rest.

That simple act felt like true community.

Not just with each other, but with the land itself.

The flowers are now drying and will soon be served as tea at one of our upcoming workshops in collaboration with Blue Zones Palm Springs — a small but meaningful way to share the well-being properties of desert native plants and the wisdom of this land.

A reminder that nature has always known how to support us.

We simply have to slow down enough to listen.

Live easy.

Something beautiful is happening inside Sukha Social Club

The group is gaining momentum — and there’s still room for you.

This is for wellness-focused women who are craving deeper ways to connect. Not just community… but real friendships. The kind that grow from shared experiences, meaningful conversations, and time spent together in presence.

Inside the club, we gather in simple, soulful ways:
• Twice-weekly walks that turn into honest conversations
• Our first spiritual adventure — a day at a monastery for mindfulness and stillness
• Stillpoint meditation
• Book club that actually lands
• Soulful Sips — because connection doesn’t have to be serious to be sacred

With 2–3 activities a week, you get to choose how you engage. Dip your toes in. Come to what calls you. Let it unfold naturally.

If you’ve been wanting connection that feels grounded, nourishing, and real — this might be your place.

A small shift. A big exhale.

Notice where your tongue is right now.
If it’s pressing up against the roof of your mouth, gently let it drop.

When the tongue softens and pulls away, the vagus nerve gets the message: you’re safe.

The throat relaxes.
The neck unclenches.
The nervous system stops bracing.

This is one of the simplest ways to invite ease back into the body—no fixing, no effort. Just space.

Try it the next time you feel tight, rushed, or caught in your head.
Let the tongue rest heavy.
Let the breath deepen.

Your body knows how to settle when you give it permission.
