Healing is complicated.
So many of the wounds we carry were never our fault.
The hurtful words, the broken trust, the situations that shaped us in ways we didn’t choose, none of that was ours to carry.
But here’s what no one tells you: while it wasn’t your fault, it is your responsibility now.
Responsibility doesn’t mean blame. It means ownership. It means choosing not to let the pain define you forever. It means deciding that your healing, your peace, and your future are worth fighting for.
Working on myself doesn’t erase what happened. It doesn’t excuse the people who caused harm. But it does reclaim my power. Because I refuse to hand over the rest of my life to the things that tried to break me.
I get to choose differently now. I get to nurture the parts of me that were neglected. I get to create safety, peace, and joy for the version of me that never had it.
Healing is how I give myself back to myself.
