Choosing egg donation is a deeply personal decision, and for many families, it opens the door to possibilities they once feared might not be available.

One of the most meaningful benefits is the opportunity to experience pregnancy and motherhood from the very beginning. You carry your child, nurture them within your own body, and begin building that bond long before birth.

Many intended parents also appreciate the ability to thoughtfully select donor characteristics, allowing them to choose attributes that feel aligned with their own values, background, or physical traits.

Egg donation can also provide reassurance through strong success rates. In many cases, the process may result in multiple embryos, which can be used in the future if you decide to grow your family again. That can make the journey toward a second child shorter and more seamless.

If you are considering egg donation and want to understand whether it is the right path for you, our fertility specialists are here to guide you with care and clarity.

Understanding infertility starts with a thorough evaluation of both partners.

For women, fertility testing may include bloodwork to assess hormone levels, ultrasound to evaluate ovarian function, and imaging such as a hysterosalpingogram or saline sonogram to examine the uterine cavity. These tests help us better understand egg quality and quantity and identify any uterine abnormalities that could impact pregnancy.

For men, evaluation typically begins with a semen analysis. This test measures volume, s***m count, motility, and morphology to determine whether male factor infertility may be contributing.

Clear answers allow us to create a focused plan. If testing confirms infertility, our fertility specialists will walk you through the options available and recommend the next best step based on your unique results.

Knowing when to see a fertility specialist can feel overwhelming. Infertility is complex and often has more than one cause. If you have been asking yourself questions about your cycle, your history, or your ability to conceive, that instinct matters. Nobody knows your body better than you.

Painful periods can sometimes signal an underlying issue. Difficulty tracking ovulation may point to hormonal imbalance. More than one miscarriage deserves careful evaluation. A history of sexually transmitted infections can also impact fertility for either partner. These are all important reasons to consider speaking with a specialist.

You do not have to wait until you feel certain something is wrong. If you answered yes to any of these questions, it may be time to have a conversation and get clarity.

Click the link in our bio to schedule a consultation with one of our fertility specialists and learn what the right next step looks like for you. We are here to guide you with compassion and expertise.

The desire to build a family is universal. Fertility care should reflect that.

For many transgender individuals who hope to have biological children in the future, it is important to understand fertility preservation options early. Some gender affirming therapies can impact future reproductive potential, so having a conversation before starting treatment can make a meaningful difference.

For individuals with a uterus, egg freezing may be an option. Current data suggests that egg freezing can be successful whether or not testosterone has been used. However, hormone therapy would need to be paused during the stimulation and retrieval process.

For individuals who produce s***m, s***m cryopreservation is an option. Transgender women with a female partner may use frozen s***m for insemination. For those without a female partner, surrogacy may be considered, where an embryo created through IVF is carried by a surrogate.

There are options. And there is support.

If you would like to explore fertility preservation or family building options in a respectful, individualized setting, we invite you to schedule a consultation with one of our fertility specialists. We are here to help you plan for the future you envision.

Fertility care is not one size fits all. And that is why the very first step matters so much.

Starting with the right testing allows us to understand what is really happening beneath the surface before moving into treatment. When we identify the root cause early, it can help prevent unnecessary delays, avoid repeated testing, and create a plan that is truly personalized to you. Most importantly, it can reduce some of the stress and uncertainty that so many families feel at the beginning of this journey.

Foundational testing gives us clarity. Hormone panels such as FSH, AMH, and thyroid levels help us evaluate egg supply, quality, and cycle health. A semen analysis gives insight into s***m count, movement, and shape. Ultrasound and HSG imaging allow us to look for fibroids, cysts, or blocked fallopian tubes. Together, these tests give us a full picture of both partners’ fertility health.

Once we have your results, we walk through them with you carefully and thoughtfully. From there, we can discuss the most appropriate next steps, whether that includes IUI, IVF, egg donation, PGT A, or other advanced options.

You deserve a plan built around your body, your history, and your goals. If you are ready to begin with testing or have questions about what to expect, call us at 760 346 4334 to schedule a consultation. We are here to guide you every step of the way.
