The Passage of Time
As I prepare this post, a favorite song of mine comes to mind – “Those were the days”. The lyrics include the verse “those were the days my friend, we thought they would never end, we’d sing and dance forever and a day.” After 44 years of having the privilege of serving the health care needs of my fellow human beings, both as a paramedic and the more sedate career as an acupuncturist, I have concluded it is time to move on to other adventures in my life. My emotions regarding this change bounce along a continuum between sadness and excitement. Getting to know you has brightened my days. I have been blessed beyond measure by knowing you and having been given the privilege of helping you with your health concerns. A cornerstone of my practice has always been to make everyone feel like they are part of our family; that they are appreciated and cared for. I hope all of us at Premier Acupuncture achieved that goal. I suppose I could ramble on looking for just the right words to express my gratitude to all of you, and how special you are to me and all those that have worked at Premier Acupuncture. I doubt I have the ability to neatly wrap up my feelings in a manner that does justice to how I feel. So, I will stop and end with a simple and heartfelt THANK YOU!
Here are the specifics:
Our last day of seeing patients will be August 24th. We will stop taking new patients effective July 16th. After August 31st, if you are in need of medical records or need to contact us, please go to our website for information. www.PremierAcupuncture.com Until August 31st we will be in the office so you can continue to reach us at 745-7928.
Breast thermography Special
We will be offering an incredible special on breast thermography. If you received breast thermograms from us or anyone else and are due for another thermogram, or would like to obtain your first thermogram, then now is your chance. If you need specifics about breast thermography, please see our web site at https://www.premieracupuncture.com/breast-thermography If you are interested, at the bottom of the web page you can download a free copy of a book on breast thermography I wrote. It’s also available on Amazon as a Kindle book.
Ok, so here is the breast thermography special. Normal price is $195. This includes the imaging and the fees we are charged for interpreting your thermogram. If you desire, you can schedule an appointment to review your thermogram report and the implications of any abnormal findings. The follow up is at no additional cost and is optional. Either way, we provide you with a copy of your images and the thermal interpretation report. From July 16th through August 6th the price will be $103. This is below my cost of providing the service. Why am I doing this? Two reasons. I strongly believe in the benefits of breast thermography and want as many women as possible to benefit. Second, it’s my way of saying thank you. I introduced thermal imaging to Southcentral Alaska in 2002. We have completed thousands of breast thermograms and would like to offer a special price as a way of showing my appreciation. Barb Wagner, our Practice Manager and thermography tech, will complete the imaging for you.
That’s about it for now. Again, THANK YOU for allowing me / us the privilege of serving you. Watching so many people come in with chronic pain and other health problems and see them quickly respond to treatment and experience life changing outcomes has touched me / us deeply. It’s not me that accomplished that, it’s you. I simply helped awaken your innate healing ability. All of you are so amazing in so many ways! Again, it has been an honor and privilege to serve you!
I would like to leave you with one of my favorite poems. It’s from Ralph Waldo Emerson. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
“To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”
My hope for all of you is that you keep hope alive, achieve your dreams and however you define success, you achieve it in everything you do.
