It was a crazy long day, but we made. Dad is back in rehab at The Overlook because of a fall and some confusion. Hopefully they will figure it all out and get him walking again so he can go home. Things we've learned on this journey? Pay attention to meds and their side effects and interactions, and be the pain I the ass kid if that's what it takes to get the doctors to listen. We're pretty sure he has another infection but because they don't show up the usual way in Dad the doctors have been known to miss them. Oh, and most importantly, take all the pictures!!!!
I am so grateful that I get to spend all this time with him ❀️

There were family complications this morning that delayed my workout, but I was determined to get it done, and I did! I had to call the doctor for Dad beforehand and they called back right as my workout was over. I got him an appointment for tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow is my day off so I will be available to take him ❀️. As long as I have faith everything works out the way it's supposed to.
Today we learned sheathing the sword, diagonal punch kick combo! Tomorrow I'll be going to physical therapy 😊.

According to Garmin, this was supposed to be just over an hour. Partly running on poor sleep, partly run/walk and partly stopping to take pictures made it a little longer than that. I'm doing a recovery ride on the stationary bike right now and my knees are pretty mad at me. It was a beautiful day for a run and I did get to take some really cool pictures, so we'll call this a win. I think Tuesday is a thirty minute base run. After today, that will be cake 😏.

Third run this week! And I ran longer, faster and further! Incrementally, but it's there πŸ˜…. And I am relearning how to layer for colder weather. A long sleeved shirt and a hoodie is too much for 33Β°??? Um, ok 😏. Anyway, I'm not complaining today, so that's a win. Next effort on Sunday πŸ’ͺ😎.

Tonight this is dinner. I haven't made the best food choices today and I really need to go to the grocery store, but my yummy chocolatey superfood shake should help with that. I forget how many superfoods are in it, but I know there is at least one serving of veggies 😏. And it tastes like dessert🍨 😁.

You're right,! Running in the cold is amazing! And the best part is that I get to wear the hat that Ben made me for Christmas last year πŸ’œ. This was not my best run, but it wasn't horrible. My knees are acting up and even when I thought I was moving right along Garmin would yell "too slow!" every chance it got 😏. I almost skipped, justifying it with knowing I'm going to see for tai chi this afternoon. Then I saw my friends, Lena and out for their run and something clicked. Its true, you only regret the run you didn't do 😏.

Today was a pretty complicated sequence, but it was so much fun! Today we learned Diagonal Punch Kick w/check and punch! I can feel myself getting stronger πŸ’ͺ 😎.I'll have to wait til Thursday to find out what's next. Tomorrow I get to go to a live class with 😊. I can hardly wait!

I haven't run since the and I was starting to feel like maybe I wasn't gonna run again. Then, I saw a woman that I follow who goes out for a walk or a run or a jog every single day and I knew I had to do something today. And then I saw the suggestion from Garmin today was a 20-minute recovery run, and I knew I could do that, so I did. It felt really good, and I actually ran at the pace that Garmin wanted me at, so there was no watch buzzing except when I stopped to take pictures 😎. So thank you, for inspiring me and so many others to get out and move today! ❀️
