Hello all, my name is Kitty Lakey and I am a Licensed Midwife, Certified Professional Midwife, Certified Lactation Counselor, mom of two teens, wife, ISFJ-T, Hufflepuff, and sci-fi aficionado. I appreciate the strong emphasis placed on bodily autonomy, consent, and evidence-based care that the midwifery model of care provides. I graduated from The Florida Traditional School of Midwifery in 2017 and I have been practicing in the surrounding midwifery community since graduating.

These photos come to you after the 50th catch for Talena. Number fifty baby catching is incredibly momentous for a Student Midwife and marks the next step in the passage of becoming a midwife.

As a preceptor who gets the pleasure and the privilege of teaching students, it's not often that you get to start with, and help a student finish. Talena did her first management with me, and we got to do her last one together 💛💛💛!!

By far, I am not Talena's only preceptor . Many thanks go out to her other preceptors as well! But this moment is about her accomplishment!

Talena has worked incredibly hard, has shown incredible growth, and shows up for clients and everyone around her in such a real Lord's work kind of way! I am proud to know her. Please show her your love 💛💛💛 Give her your congratulations!!!
