I am so proud of my mom! Brenda King Van Horn. My entire life I’ve had the privilege of watching her, spend her life pouring into other people. I remember being very young and having the opportunity to watch her teach and just feeling so inspired that I wanted to follow in her footsteps, and her passion for teaching definitely lives on in me, I just don’t teach in a classroom anymore, but I get to teach and mentor adults Which is a huge privilege and joy to me. Once upon a time we did own a school together and I did get to teach under her and I knew that I didn’t need any college because I would learn way more working alongside with her on how to become a great teacher than I could ever learn in a classroom. Her passion and her heart has never diminished, she is generous to a fault and I am so proud to be her daughter. You literally cannot find a better teacher on planet Earth than my mom, she cares deeply for every single student that Graces her classroom. Every student that comes into her classroom is ridiculously blessed and will remember her for a lifetime. she inspires everybody She’s around to become the best teacher they can and advocate for their students. It is not a surprise to me at all that she gets recognized in this manner. She’s very humble and does not like to be in the limelight, even though she deserves every second of it
