Limitations are something I’ve been contemplating for a bit now … wondering what areas of my life that I’ve been blind to, closed off from or old beliefs that keep me stagnant in life. It’s interesting what you find once you “look under the hood.” But, what do you do once the light of awareness is shed?
Patience. Grace. Self-compassion.
I let it marinate for a little to get curious why the heck it’s showing up. This helps me gain a better understanding on how I can break a pattern that isn’t servicing me anymore.
This could look like …
- A consistent practice of sitting quietly in a seated position and having gentle awareness of breath, just being present for a moment(s) - without quiet, solitude the brain has nowhere to rest and without rest it’s hard to see the clear path
- Spending quality time with people in my life that bring me joy without expectations or immersing myself in environments that slow my nervous system or trying something new that requires nothing more then an open heart and a smile - continued stress is like a black shroud over our life creating barriers for growth
- Move my body. Yoga is my preferred rhythm at the moment. However, I do love a good kitchen dance party. Moving your body has enormous whole body & spirit benefits that help form a resilient, open mindset. Just make sure you enjoy it!
Our stories are our stories until we decidedly transform them or intentionally shift perspectives. Do a rewrite. Turn the page. Or whatever analogy you want to put behind that. Don’t elicit a ghostwriter (limitations, old beliefs) to write your life story.
Don’t forget … The full lived experience walking on this Earth is yours. Live it courageously, with an open heart, deliberate devotion, and a kind mind.
