WHERE’S THE COCONUT OIL? I purposefully left it off bc it is a controversial oil to some. Personally, I love Dr. Bronner’s whole kernel, virgin coconut oil for cooking, baking, homemade popcorn and using it as a moisturizer.
The 2 sides of the camp:
#1 HEALTHY! Rich source of MCTs (Medium-chain triglycerides) known for improving metabolic health, good source of energy & improving cognitive function, high in polyphenols (antioxidants to help protect from oxidative stress & inflammation), Lauric acid source (antimicrobial properties), NATURAL saturated fat source (increases HDL cholesterol)
#2 POTENTIALLY UNHEALTHY: high in saturated fat, some individuals may have an allergy
Guess what camp I’m in?!? 🤔
MY RECOMMENDATION? Use your best judgement, moderation is a good mindset to be in and NEVER use refined.
