URGENT MESSAGE TO OUR MAINECARE CUSTOMERS:
Mainecare announced in August that they will be adopting Medicare fee schedule, effective October 1, 2021.

What does this mean to you? Mainecare has historically paid for items that Medicare and commercial payers DO NOT cover. We will no longer be able to provide equipment that Medicare does not pay for IF Mainecare goes through with this proposal.

CARE Services and all other providers for Mainecare customers are asking you to contact Kristin.Merrill@maine.gov to inform Mainecare that the proposed changes to their reimbursement process will negatively impact you, your child or your loved one.

and, in true government fashion, they announced the public comment period on 9/13/21 and it closes on 9/17/21.

So, PLEASE reach out to Ms. Merrill and let her know that this is not acceptable.
