Maple Lawn Nursing Home The staff of Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra, MO, like to think of themselves as neighbors caring for neighbors.

We've been a part of the Palmyra community since the 1890's, when we started life as the Marion County Rest Home. We house citizen's from throughout Marion County including Hannibal, Monroe City, and Palmyra. Currently operating under the auspices of the Marion County Nursing Home District, Maple Lawn strives to maintain a friendly, small town environment for our resident and outpatient population while providing a comprehensive range of professional services geared to the particular needs of each individual.

Maple Lawn really knows how to make a girl feel appreciated. Kris Abbott created a slide show on our (jumbo tron monitor), She also made all of the flyers. Jessi Lochbaum blinged out the staff bulletin board as well. It has been an awesome couple of days so far. Thankyou everyone for making this award so meaningful and special.

Last Christmas post of 2025. We would like to thank our 3 Santas, Elves, & The Grinch who made Christmas extra special for our residents. Thank you so much to Carla Meyers with First State Insurance Agency.She delivered 2 baskets full of amazing goodies for our residents for Christmas.They also had 12 staff members participate in this gift giving event. Dave the Manager at County Market in Palmyra delivered gifts to Maple Lawn as well.They used the money they made at their silent auction to purchase gifts for 3 other recipients. The St.Joseph's Alter Society sent over lots of snacks. Libby Schaefer delivered gifts for some Palmyra alumni teachers, and Alexis Meyers also adopted residents and delivered gifts as well.We appreciate all of the Christmas cheer, that continues to spread throughout our home this Christmas season.Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.

Santa #3 stopped by to deliver another round of Christmas gifts.The residents were amazed and so appreciative of all of their gifts.A special thank you to everyone who adopted our residents.You know how to make Maple Lawn sure feel special.The Grinch (our Administrator) made an appearance.He tried to get away with a couple packages. Santa and the Grinch was so the icing on the cake.
