Well, we need to focus on both protein and fiber! But.. please don’t hurt yourself by buying these “keto” breads and other fake foods that are not going to help your goals. Aim to get your fiber from real foods, such as:
Chia seeds
Berries
Leafy Greens
Chickpeas
Almonds
Cruciferous Veggies

And if you use a fiber supplement, start small!

While I’m not a doctor. I do support many women who are receiving HRT and are not counseled on how to optimize their effects. Not only does it take a while to kick in, but it’s great to be doing the other things that support general health, including: gut health, sleep quality, stress management, and cleaning up the diet!

Recently I had the honor of attending a leadership retreat with .greene - this Emergence immersive was an unexpected opportunity to stop pushing so hard, and just listen… To myself. It was an opportunity to learn more about who I am as a leader, not just what I’m trying to accomplish or where I’m trying to go.

One of the most unexpected and precious experiences during this retreat was an exploratory painting experience with . Her authenticity, brilliance, and salt of the Earth style left me in wonder. These photos are a few of the little pieces I created in my time at her studio.

And while these are not the most beautiful pieces of art I’ve ever seen… I will hang them on my wall with pride and try to hold these lessons dear.

I walked into this workout, feeling like crap. I was a little bit whiny and a little bit not in the mood to do anything hard. Next thing I knew, I was rowing half my body weight. This is my third set… And yes, sometimes even on sh*tty days you can do amazing things.

So if you’re having a hard day, hard week, or just generally giving up… Don’t! I promise, you got this.
