Dr. Tajaddod earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she had graduated top 5% of her class. In addition, she also earned her Certificate in orthodontics and bachelor in Oral Biology from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She was an instructor in Harvard school of Dental Medicine. While at Harvard, she had researched under the supervision of Dr. Myron Spector, the orthopedic director at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. The research which emphasized on the “Rule of Alpha Smooth Muscle Actin in human osteoblasts” led to the publication of a research paper. Dr. Tajaddod is dedicated to her private practice. She is a firm believer in advance training and regularly attends continuing education courses to improve her skill and to stay current with the latest techniques and technologies. Merna Tajaddod Orthodontics customizes every patient with a unique treatment plan to achieve ideal teeth alignment and occlusion. This young 8 year old patient started with Phase I, Dentofacial Orthopedics, a Non-Extraction treatment plan. We started the case with a custom made palatal expander and after a majority of the permanent teeth erupted, Phase II orthodontic treatment was completed with Invisalign aligners.
